Xerox Bill's 57

Post by XeroxBill »

Hi guys,
Well I finally got the 327 running pretty good, thanks to MostMint's camshaft and lifter setup.
Here are some shots of the "Maiden Voyage" around the neighborhood !!! (LOOK MA NO BUMPERS) !!!
It sure was a blast to be able to drive this thing after 5 years of pushing it!
This sure is a great website! Be glad to post more updates as the project progresses.

Looks like it's ready for the drags! Nice to have you here Bill.
I was talking to a guy at work the other day who restores 57's for fun. He said he has lots of spare parts so I got his name and number for you. I'll post it here tomorrow.

Just add windshield, bumpers, directional lenses and you're ready for shakedown runs! Look forward to your updates.

The guy's name with the '57 parts is Joe Hall. His phone number is 440-257-3209. He says he's got all sorts of stuff for different types of 57's.

Well, Bill it looks like you made it out of the gate before me. Great job!! Good to see the rubber meeting the road. Any chance we could have both our projects at Spring Carlisle?

Painted

Post by Fred32v »

Bill and I spent the afternoon at HGR Inc. with a quick visit with basementPaul.
I'm not sure how many years it is been since Bill started on his 57 Chevy,
but he spent last weekend painting his project 57 in a spray booth that will remain nameless.
This color is awsome, it changes characteristics from the shadows to the sun. WOW!
Here are some pictures I took from his camara.

It runs and drive, he is just a few details away from being done.

That color is perfect. I love it! I can't wait to see it back together. It will be a show stopper.
