Chip off the old block

My next folly begins! (Forgive me as I try to inject a little humor here and there) Anyways back to the project - Operation Cheap Bastage Fuel Injector. Yes I already have a 4 port on the dragster. Yes, there's nothing earth shatteringly new or different - I just want to blend a couple existing ideas that I think are cool. So let the chips fly AND the one's and zero's get shuffled! Basically I'm attempting to build a low-profile 4port with a Scott top. Pretty much trying to combine what is easy to work on with what I think looks the best. Time will tell whether it'll FLY or SINK!

Yes, pretty much. Except I want it SUPER low profile and with a Scott top (the scoop fromMad Max)

A shot from the other side after putting all the fillets in. Ready for final boring. Followed by cross drilling for the throttle shaft - I ain't gonna lie - the throttle shaft holes have me a little nervous!

In THAT case I will DO! Here I am hitting the bore pretty much dead nuts! It was a good day on the Bridgeport today - I may have to quit while I'm ahead. :-)

Makin' butterflies...ignore the gap on the butterfly fit - I was careless trimming the sheetmetal blank and cut too deep. So that butterfly is junk, but the proof of the approach is sound.

This is really cool stuff! NOBODY out there is doing this. I'm wondering if you're in the rhythm of making these, would it make sense to make a few extra for whatever reason? Or is that overkill for no reason?

You'll have to let us know when you think you'll be out to the track with this combo. I'd really love to see it run with the blower.

This is masterfully crazy stuff that nobody else does.
It's fun to watch, you should have your own TV show, "Jacin' Creasin' " or somethin'.

Thanks Guys! I have to admit i am having a blast making this thing. Learning as I go can be fun. I agree with the notion to make a few extra. The butterfly fixure really helps in making those. I've made a couple so far just for practice. I'd like to get some 2024-T3 aluminum for the real ones. These so far are made from left over scraps from the dragster body. The next challenge will be the throttle shaft - I think I'm gonna have my hands full on THAT!!!! We'll see! Soon I hope!!!! :-)

Made a fixture of sorts to hold the throttle shaft. Found a cutter and viola - we have SLOTS!!! Still need to flip it over to clean up a tad from the other side, but I'm getting a little excited - this thing might actually work!!!
