THAT'S a KICK to see our engine in that cool truck!! Fun to see our little touches in a good-looking package.

That's awesome!! Run-stand as a sales tool is an excellent idea. That's the biggest problem buying an engine, is knowing how it runs.

If the guy said you guys should charge more-- did you make a profit on this one?

We cleared about $1000, not counting the value of the disassembled core engine, and expect to do the same on the BBC we're going to prepare for Mike. The SBC ran so smooth and quiet it really demoed well. The other thing Mike mentioned was our re-torqueing the heads when he picked it up. We waited till the headers came off after the final demo to re torque the heads. He was pleased we wanted to do that before delivering it to him.

Go to fattrunkcustoms on Facebook and take a look at his work. I am impressed. There's even a picture of the 454 as it is now and it's future home, the '57 GMC on a flatbed.

Sweet he says. It is sweet! Good work guys. This is way better than just selling it to Joe Blow.

Can't wait to see the big block.

We were wondering about it, too. Then I get a call from Mike. He said:

"Sorry to keep people waiting..We had some delays..She was driven for the first time today and laid down a ton of rubber...All that needs to be done is pretty much the carpet, seat, and bed...We are waiting on wheel adapters so we can put the wheels on"

I got a call from Mike a couple of weeks ago saying he will definitely be coming down with the motor "in a couple of weeks". Still nothing... Also I've been checking for progress on Facebook and there are no updates. I don't know what's going on.

Have you considered building another engine to sell on open market - rather than wait for him to reply?
