I just added 25 HP to "OH YEAH". I filled it with E85, stock rated jumped from 355hp to 380hp.

http://www.lingenfelter.com/forum_linge ... ork-begins

Ligenfelter showed 0.4 seconds and 2.7 mph in the quarter.

I can't wait to get it on the track, I'll let you know.

Talk about an inexpensive power gain, ...

Wonder if larger injectors would improve it more. Any way to log the injector open times?

Does the max timing seem low? Do LS motors need less advance than earlier SBC's? Low 20 desgrees vs mid 30s??

Lingenfelter's info chart for the L83 says for Gas, max timing is 21.5 degrees, with E85 it's 23 degrees.
In the old days we ran a lot more timing then that, I think well into the mid to upper 30's.

"OH YEAH"'s first real detailing. (Not as crazy as on the "V".)

A fun way to spend some time with my Silverado.
An Advil before bed and I was good as new in the AM.
Pretty as new! (no Harley Davidson.)

When black is dirty you just have a truck, but When Black is clean it is amazing!
Love this truck.

Well the results are in. Comparing times on nights were conditions were similar I've seen the improvements.
My ET is 0.45 sec better, my mph is 2.5 better. The truck was never in the 14's in summer temperatures.

Before E85, my very best pass when it was 43 degrees with a tail wind, 14.8 @ 92.91 mph.
On E85 last night in 80 plus degrees, my first pass was 14.77 @ 92.92, best pass 14.69 @ 93.51 mph.
My best 60 ft. before was a 2.0957, now 2.0071. thanks t Kevin, I now now the E85 I got was 80%.

What is next, cold weather, tuner? Number will keep improving. Boy do I love "OH YEAH"!

Fred, I see HpTuners in your future. I believe there's more in that PCM that needs to be exploited.

It was fun learning about what E85 could do for "OH YEAH", but with winter closing in I switched back to gas.
Now it was time to mount my Firestone Winter Force snow tires. I used the wheel covers that I bought in Carlisle.
Summer's look.

Winter might not be as much fun as TDR,
but it has it's moments.

"OH YEAH!" was SERIOUS fun while I had it (34 months), but it become too valuable to keep it.
I don't regret for a second having had it but it was time to become a little more practical.
It was hard for Mrs32v to climb up in and I couldn't haul my grandchildren.

(I did remove the tailgate message so that might return.)
