You wanna see FAST?

Spent some time cleaning up the engine bay. I got some crud removed from the frame/cross member, but still have more to go. I sprayed everything down with a good soap/water mix, some foamy engine brite, and then hit it with the pressure washer. I think I might need to still wire wheel a few things. Once everything is cleaned up, I'll hit it with a fresh coat of black. I also wanna replace that duct-taped radiator overflow.

A layer of black paint would tighten it up for sure. I like the whole vibe of that car though.

I've done a bunch of cleaning and some painting in the engine bay. I removed the crappy radiator overflow and will look for another. If I can't, I wonder if I could pull off all the duct tape and paint it with some FlexSeal and see if it would hold?

I'm trying to find a diagram for where the main wires are going into the fusebox. Theres a lot of good ones over at maliburacing.com, but not quite what I need.

If you can’t find an OE replacement maybe you can get an aftermarket overflow bottle.

Thanks Walt. This is a '79, but I'm guessing 79-84 are somewhat similar? What I'm really trying to figure out is which wires are what on the engine-bay side of the fuse block.

edit: this link to the gbodyforum.com has the info I need. Linking it here for documentation.

I have this diagram for my Chevelle (bought it, its great) , and in one part, it shows the connecter on the engine bay side and all the different wire functions/colors and which terminals. Unfortunately, 1979 is too new for classiccarwiring.com.

Here's the pinout info for the bulkhead connector (1984 version)
I'm not sure if it will be helpful or not.

THANK YOU! I'll run out later and see if it seems to match up with what I have.

Unfortunately, nothing in this seems to really match up with what I'm seeing in my car. But thanks for posting it Walt.

Engine compartment starting to shape up a bit.
