I can't stop laughing. On the next run, position the GoPro on the floor so that we can see the lightning fast shifts and the ceegar in GM's mouth.

The forecast for Saturday has changed, for the better.....if you're looking to set Personal Bests at TRP.

High of 44. Low of 33. It will be cold from ten until noon or so.

DA will be fantastic......much more so than Derek Anderson. We may see minus 500 again..........

I was watching a show last night - they had one of David Pearson's original NASCAR rides with a cigarette lighter in the dash.

Another balmy 40 degree day at TRP, only a slight cross wind.
BP, 'Smoke, Tony, GMJohn, and I were there.

I went ready, to the point I removed everything out of the jimmy, right down to the spare and the jack.
I had a 1/4 tank of 89 octane and was looking for some good passes.
I made 8 passes, the first 6 were quicker than my old best 14.64 @ 94.21.

My third pass came after we had the cold bag on the intake and then
just started the truck and drove up to the line with no delays.

My best ever for jimmy 14.3957 @ 94.27 mph with 2.05 60'. Crazy, 217 cu. in. v6!

I did join in on the Gamblers race. I think there were 9 cars.
First round was against Tony, he treed me pretty good but the Chevelle's tire didn't bite.
So 5 cars left and a deck of cards had BP and I together.
I thought my .091 lite was pretty good but BP's .003 was a lot better.
He then drew the bye and ran for the money, he had to settle for 2nd place money.
Early arrivals
Early arrivals
Then there were five
Then there were five
Gambler money run
Gambler money run
Conditions were really good, except maybe for good traction,
but I think everyone was faster. They can give you their numbers.

My 14.39 is about all there is my little jimmy, to improve something would need to be done.

Sadly TRP announced this would be the last T-N-T of 2020.
TRP never ceases to be great fun!

Made it out for the final TnT of the season. Got bullied into running the gamblers race   and of course ended up running Paul in the first round. I got the stripe first, but it was a double breakout. I got beat on the tree a little, .11 v. 09, but I went 12.38 on 12.50 while Paul went 11.76 on 11.83 My reaction at the end tells it..

I went out with every intension of besting my 13.47 from last week. I even went the route of taking a
fuel can and a funnel with me to the track so I could be as light as possible. I ran a 13.55, 13.51, 13.47,
13.50 & 13.57. The sun never popped out and that made it so the track couldn't quite hold for most racers
including me. Trying super hard to launch around 2800-3000 rpm without spinning into a wheel hop scenario
was pretty challenging, and my best 60' time was 2.17. I even put on a bit of a show for the fans by going
sideways and staying in it as I left the line one time. ( No small feat with manual steering and a SLOW ratio
steering gear box and the 1-2 shift coming soon! ) I did have a couple of passes that had my top speed at
a best of just over 104. I'm pretty convinced that the 13.47 is all I've got without making an upgrade. It's
fun trying to best your best. I did have the GoPro riding with me on by best pass, Smoker has that video.
I did contemplate the gambler's race, but I was REALLY low on fuel. My spare can had 87 octane "cackle juice"
in it, and I didn't think it'd be a great idea to race that way, so I departed. Until next spring!

Traction was definitely a struggle all day. My best pass was my first. I didn't attack the starting line, and I felt noticeable spin on the 1-2 shift and even a little spin on the 2-3 which has NEVER happened at the track. It still netted me my best time ever at 11.55 @ 118.36. The rest of TNT was spent trying to figure out how to not spin, which turned out to be almost impossible. I even tried with Tony's car and still was chattering the tires.

The best part was just hanging out, and then bullying everybody into running the gambler's race. It stinks that we all ended up running against each other early on, but that still makes it fun, win or lose. I ended up losing in the finals more because of wheelspin than anything else. I put this guy out last week, so it was his turn. Super nice guy in a cool, stock, 80's Monte SS.

I'll post pictures and videos as I sort through it all. Not driving three different cars got me some time to capture the action.

Now that the season is over, we can all focus on going faster next year! And from what I can tell, all of us that were there yesterday have plans for sure.

dude, I LOVE that -- you got a great view of my best 60ft ever, no loud/open header cars or music in the background... *chef's kiss*

Totally worth my $10 Gamblers entry!!

OK! Thanks for those two great jimmy videos. That 14.39 pass speaks for itself,
but lining up against a Mustang convertible, thought I was toast.
It must of been a 6 or a 4, but that's ok the jimmy received the "white" time slip.

All the videos were fun!

The Mustang was a 2011-2014 V6 like my old burgundy one. His was a convertible, and not enough to hold off the Canyon!
