TRP, the first T-N-T is April 13th. My schedule says that the first one I can make is the 20th.
I hope for great weather, the Canyon will be there completely stock for a benchmark. :D

With TRP cancelling the 13th for no apparent reason, looks like we'll be praying for good weather for the 20th.

As of right now, Saturday's forecast looks good. 57 and partly cloudy. I'll be there if they're open. Wednesday already looks to be a rainout, we'll see.

I'll be there.

TRP web site says it's their 1st Points race,
will we be able to run for time, or I'll run TROPHY Class.

They're pushing back the points races and this week should be a TNT only.

Now Wed is looking good. I'm bolting my drag radials on tonight and planning to go. There's a octane and coffee (or whatever you call it) at Summit Saturday morning I might try to go to that too.

Finally the weather allowed us to run my "jimmy" down the quarter mile. Very pleased with his initial outing.
Jimmy's best 60' 2.2038, best ET 14.8443 sec., best speed 92.87 mph.
When comparing these numbers to the first time out for the Eldorado and "Oh Yeah",
jimmy's numbers are much better. Going back further in time,
these are the same kind of numbers that the big Oldsmobile s (88 and 98)
would run through the exhaust (everything changed with open headers),
so at a stop light jimmy would have been very competitive.

My enthusiasm for this vehicle took a big leap tonight!

Only thing that would have made it better
if I had not had a -06 RED in the 2nd round.

For me TRP will continue to be great fun!!!

I sense some great heads up action this Summer at TRP. :D

The Canyon and the Colorado are great sized trucks, IMHO.

I can get over 25 MPG on the freeway when going easy on the truck, tow 7,000 pounds, fit five comfortably....and apparently run 14s.

Times sure have changed since high school.....kind of like my pants size.

A quick trip to TRP ahead of the rain. Very warm 75ish sprinkles.

I made 4 passes with the new exhaust, none were close to the stock system.
My best before rain sent me home was 60 ft. 2.2747, 15.06 @ 92.17 mph.

Very disappointed. I enjoy the sound but that's not why I upgraded.

Do I wait for another night or return the system now?

Do you happen to have the Density Altitude numbers for last night at TRP and your previous outing?

If so, I'd try to run those numbers through the conversion factor and try to get an apples to apples comparison....taking the weather out of the equation.

It was REALLY humid and muggy last night. Had to be really bad air.

I looked when he texted me, it was over 2850 ft. Not good for numbers. When he got those original numbers, it was only 1100 ft and about 15 degrees cooler. I wouldn't get too excited about slow numbers just yet, wait until you can compare apples to apples.

I'll put Sunday July 28th on my calendar.

Just another warm (75 - 80) sticky evening with rain on the way.
Tonight saw my numbers slightly improve with the K&N and 3" exhaust, best ET 15.03 at 92.48 mph.
Not up to the stock numbers on a cool night.
A -02 RED ended Fred32v's night in the first round.

BP and 'Smoke were there.

No trophies tonight, 'Smoke went the longest.
Just plain cool.
Just plain cool.
