I had no idea just how good JB Weld was until I watched this.

While JB Weld can't hold the head on I wonder if it could be the head gasket with the bolts in?

Yes. Then when you have to remove the head sometime later, you just remove the bolts, stand aside and start the engine.

My brother raced go carts back in the 50s. He was running away from everyone so got challenged and the officials removed the head from the Brigs & Stratton engine to see if he was in conformance with the rules. What they found was no head gasket -- just some gasket sealer. Perfectly legal way to raise compression. Fortunately the inspector didn't show people what he found and Bro Willy went on winning.

The trying to hold on the head with only glue was silly, but still funny. No head bolts? How about just 1 or 2. But even before reading Maverick's reply, I would've said it would run.

But gluing the pieces of wood together and seeing how much weight they supported with JB weld was impressive. I mean, JB Weld is for metal, right? Turns out JB Weld is for just about anything I want to glue together. I guess when I hear about dudes JB welding window-ed engine blocks, I can see it holding up at least a little while.
