Re: How many cars have I had??
Most of the manufacturers that still offer a manual only offer it in either the base model or the sportiest model. Ford Focus is an example of that. You can't get a nice Focus with a manual. You can only get a plastic Focus or an RS with a manual, no titanium. Mazda has been sorting out their line a...

Re: How many cars have I had??
Fixed the Toro for you. Yeah, the Mazda is available as a sedan, but living overseas has made hatchbacks seem normal to me. The Mazda3 has been one of the best selling cars in Australia and most of them here are hatchbacks (opposite of the US mix). I can't walk a city block without seeing a couple o...

Re: 2012 Nissan Xterra
Orders are cut, things are moving. Belgium is looking for a ship to put the Nissan on. It should be to Cleveland around the same time we arrive. I called the insurance company and my international insurance that covered storage is good through shipment. Once it lands, I will have to activate normal ...

Re: How many cars have I had??
Updated my list (page 5) with number 45. Called a Cleveland Mazda dealer this morning and asked what hatchback 3's they had in stock with the 2.5L and manual transmission. They had a red and a gray. I bought the red...on the phone...from Australia. I have never even driven a Mazda3. I might be crazy...

Re: Spring Carlisle 2017
If a guy who identifies as GM shows up in a Nissan, I hope you will all show him no mercy. There is a very slim chance I will show up as I will just be arriving back in the States that week. I have doctors and other errands so it seems highly unlikely, but not yet impossible.

Re: 2012 Nissan Xterra
Moving is a pain. Everything will be harder than it should be. My vehicle was inactive in the online system so I could not just renew the plates. After an email chain finished a complete lap of the old runaround, they finally realized it was a pretty simple matter that was resolved with a 3 minute p...

Re: 2012 Nissan Xterra
We found the license plates so that should allow us to renew the registration online from here. We are still waiting for official orders for our relocation to Buffalo. Until we get those, the truck sits in Belgium. Our arrival date in Buffalo has been pushed way up. We were expecting July and now Kr...

You're idling a bit high, but the tach looks great.

I am sure the brake shoes were still good because Paul never slowed down.

Re: 2016 Regal Turbo
We are starting to look at cars again since we will now need to return to a two-car paradigm and we, too, are thinking FWD is fine. Since Kris will likely be the primary driver on the new vehicle, we will likely get a set of winter tires. The tires technically don't cost anything in the long term si...

Re: 2016 Regal Turbo
Wow, that has to be the newest car you have ever had. I hadn't really looked at these before, but that engine seems outrageous. 259hp out of 2 liters? Is yours fwd or awd? I will miss the Saab, but this is a different class of car.

Re: 2012 Nissan Xterra
GM, I agree one hundred percent with all four points. And after four years living abroad doing constant conversions on units of measurement and currency, I also really appreciated the use of the universal metric for garage time, beers. Even the Australians would understand that. The Congolese would ...

2012 Nissan Xterra
I never started a thread for this vehicle because I never intended to do anything with it. My plan when I bought it was to take it to Africa and then sell it there. Well, the political situation was beginning to get unstable as we left Africa and the rich people were not spending money. It even turn...

Re: 1978 Lincoln Continental Coupe
I had a camera that I mounted in the back of my cargo van. The camera was mounted up high. I ran the wire along the passenger side above the sliding door and then I had to go straight down to the floor and under the carpeting up front before coming up under the dash. That had to be 25 feet of cable ...

Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
That resonator was already replaced once. It let go in Vancouver in 2010. We pulled into a muffler shop and still managed to see and do everything we had planned for that day. It cost us a bit more than you paid, even when you converted the Canadian dollars.
