I think that there have already been some big cans in the front seat. That explains the need for new springs in the front :)

Well, the only truly BAD part of this car is the mileage. I'd say I am averaging about 15 mpg, though it's barely broken in. Otherwise, it's a helluva a lot of fun. I've only had one real bit of fun and that was pretty much a draw against a mid 90's Z28 manual. I can't emphasize how good a job they ...

No complaints and zoning can't do crap. It's a portable box. I only have one neighbor that can even see it. As for the pics, I'll get one this weekend of at least one Miata in it. The other may go inside this weekend. But I dont think I can fit all three. Besides, the tractor is coming back home to ...

Oh yeah, here's a pic of the other resident of the two-car garage. I just got the ramp of crushed asphalt done on the one side tonight, so this is the first time any vehicle has been on the bridge. I know, I am really pushing it on this forum. Hey, it's got a motor and wheels! http://upload4.postima...

Portable two car garage

Ok, this is a little off-topic from cars, but there have been a few requests to post on here about our 'new' two car garage down at the property we bought this spring. We needed something to hold my tractor, etc during the summer while we worked on clearing it, etc. It's just a 40' storage container...

The Trailblazer SS

Ok, this is a massive update. The 84 BMW 745i turbo got sold as I didn't have much time to work on it. Then I' got promoted at work such that I need to take out clients. So, the 05 Saab 9-2x (AKA the Saaburu WRX) with cloth and hatchback had to go and has been replaced as of yesterday. Now introduce...

We got hit, though not as bad. We have two sumps in the basement. Thankfully, we never lost power or it would have been real ugly. I had to call in half a day on Friday to suck out as much as I could with a Hoover carpet cleaner (works better than a wet-dry on carpet). As of this morning, fans and d...

Extra point!

The kick is up.... and it's good!!! The new wastegate is installed and I am hitting 10-12 PSI after a little tweaking. I should be able to dial it up a few more no problem. Right now, the AFR gauge is reading dead center under all boost levels, so I am a happy camper. Let me tell ya, a huge differen...

Hurry up and wait

New, rebuilt wastegate should be shipping soon and fix the boost cut at 6psi. In the meantime, I think I've identified the coolest BMW ever!

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/40935/bmw_from_hell/

I guess he's running about 25-30psi. I'm just shooting for 12-15 :)

Big difference

Ok, sorry for the bad pun subject New $200 diff complete with Royal Purple synthetic is in and definitely getting into boosting sooner and pulling stronger than before. Should get me at least a few tenths. Thanks to Bob for help and thanks to Paul for supervising. Paul should consider a career at OD...

Ahem...17's?

They beemer actually ran a 16.68. 60 ft sucks since turbo isn't until 3000rpm and still the stock 2.93 diff. That'll change soon. Not bad for a stock, virgin run. I'm just happy she's running! And as for the wife, she went from 16.9x last year to 16.19. That's due to better shifting (she was only dr...

Just a few weeks ago, it was announced that the Carlisle Army base was one of two awarded to as homes for the new Striker unit...
