How is this going to go? Are you planning to be there Sat and Sun? Leave the stuff overnight?

Is anyone else interested?

I'll need to work out how to get my stuff there since I don't have a truck.

Me thinks ether of those cars would have a hard time keeping up with your current equipment.

Walt, I chased the ghost of that Camaro for a long time so I know what it ran in the 1/4. What did your car run?

Most of the parts have arrived. All the hoses and belts are off. Found the car lacks a thermostat so I bought one of those as well. After removing the heater core hoses I found they sell replacements premolded. They are more expensive but I think they are the right way to go, so I have to place anot...

Re: '63 Corvette shakedown

Cool. Had to be a lot of fun taking the Vette out. Maybe a few more items to fix before Carlisle, but confirming mechanical systems in order has to feel pretty good. I have to say that 10 years ago I would have bet that the 63 would not go under its own power until it got sold. I remember seeing it ...

OK I was about to retract the "no email notification comment", since I found a recent email in my "bulk folder" on yahoo. But as of now I did not get email notification on wxo's post to this thread.

I still have to log in twice every time. And in just a short time I get timed out.

Also it seems I am not getting email notification when new posts come in. Anyone else having this problem?

Just for good measure I would redo the math at $4.00 a gallon. There is a good chance it could go there. I'm not saying don't do it, but the costs could go up. Also I would get an insurance quote on the Impala SS to see if there is any difference there. Does your state charge extra for license tags ...

It'll still run 13's when it is dirty. :) But How many hours of time does it take to drive 20000 miles? 20,000 miles/60 miles per hour = 333 hours (means you'll have to spend a lot of time above 60 to offset your city driving) $1380/333 = $4.14 per hour Do you get $4.14 per hour of extra entertainme...

So many decisions. It took a while to sort out what I wanted but I have ordered a stack of parts - a little over $600 from Corvette Central including a pressure bleeder for the brakes and another hundred or so of parts from Autozone. The caliper from Autozone is on the car. Between now and when the ...

Wow I have not updated since September. I drove the car a bunch in the fall and even a few times in January when the roads were salt free and the weather was mild. I started driving it again a couple weeks ago, all the while contemplating this years upgrades. Over the weekend I cleaned up the garage...
