You could tell her that it would have been illegal to do it on the road...

I'm glad acting juvenile doesn't wear out. :)

No racing today. I didn't bother calling as it was raining until after 10am when they're supposed to open. Even if they raced, the track wouldn't have been dry until after 12 and I didn't feel like sitting around watching the track dry. Instead I found a few more things to take off the car, saving m...

Sunday's forecast is for a slight chance of an early morning shower, and clearing skies with a high of 74. Not too bad.

Wed looks better, with a high of 62 and sun, the evening should be CHILLY! I'll be leaving work early on WED.

Sadly, I really haven't had too much time to drive the Caddy this year. It's been in a couple parades for my wife's campain, and I've been out a couple other times and that's about it. Last Sunday was a nice morning and I was going to meet the Rookie for breakfast and as I drove out of my street, I ...

Sunday Sept 27th @ TRP

Test N Tune this Sunday. The weather will hopefully turn around. It's supposed to be windy (hopefully a tailwind) with a slight chance of showers, and a high of 71. I'm ready and I'll be there.

If anyone is interested in a pre-race feast, I'll do b-fast.

The bolts inside the seat rails would have been REALLY tough to put lockwashers on, so I opted for loctite on all the nuts to keep them in place, so we were on the same wavelength. The only thing that will make those bolts come loose is the untamed torque of the big OLDS!

It was blue stuff in a red bottle. I think this set up would hold you though... I didn't use hardened bolts, you think that will matter?

I put locktite on the hardware...you engineer, you. THe passenger's seat is fixed and won't move, and the driver's one could be moved, but with some difficulty. In it's most rearward position, it is perfect for me, so I don't care about moving forward, but if somebody shorter needed to drive it, I c...

Today, with a bunch of help from 32V, we were able to shave more weight from the TA by installing the racing seats. After some deliberation in the garage, we went to Lowes for some aluminum flat stock, and were able to mount the seats using part of a morning and a complete afternoon. When it was all...

Did you happen to notice that the pictures were taken in March of 2005? How did the dealer get these? Seems fishy to me, and I'm betting it doesn't look quite like this anymore.
If you wanted to make a drag car though, what a good start.

I'm going to go after the seats first, but there is a whole bunch of bumper under those covers. I will remedy this most likely over the winter with some aluminum extrusion to hold up the cover.

So I made a late trip to TRP tonight. I got one time run into a slight headwind and after watching all the street cars before me, I took it a little easy off the line and still managed a 12.81 at 104mph with a 1.79 60'. Pass number two was my first round in eliminations. I dialed a 12.74 thinking I ...
