I figure the bad window is not as important as making the car faster, so I ordered the 3.4" pulley and belt tonight. I'm not sure how long it will take to get it, but 25-30hp for about $100 seems like a bargain to me. Should be fun getting the results.

TireSmoker stopped by work yesterday and I got a look at the new SS. This thing is sweet! Huge Brembo brakes, sweet looking wheels, and the seats are killer. I know from selling them that the Pioneer sound system is awesome too, especially with the XM. They also put a smaller steering wheel on these...

If they sound half as good as they look, I'd say it's a winner. Not to mention the weight savings never hurt anything. Sometimes the factory CAN do it right...

I kept the T-bird for one year and almost five months! I could see this one staying around at least that long. The drivers front window stopped working today. The last time it worked was Saturday night at Taco Bell. When it went up, it was pretty slow. I'm assuming the motor took a crap... Got 23.2 ...

The blue will be turned into green. Hopefully sooner than later. I've only had two inquiries, but it's still the middle of February. If I don't get much action in the next couple weeks, I'll put it on ebay and let it go.

I'm pretty sure the supercharged Impalas were only '04 and '05. '06 was the V8 and the best Impalas before '04 were LS with the N/A 3800. The supercharged cars were Regal GS from '97-04, Grand Prix GTPs and Bonneville SSEIs (same years), and Park Avenue Ultras. They actually started the supercharged...

I pulled the strut tower brace off and that made things a lot easier for me to get to them. You have to be real careful with #6 as it sits right on the O2 sensor and it would be easy to break it. I neeled on the front of the car and was able to reach all the plugs without too much trouble. I'm sure ...

At this point the repairs would have needed to be done by now, and it doesn't appear to cover the supercharged motor anyway. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to fix the problem like everybody else. The only good news is that the coolant and the oil both look like coolant and oil, with no mixing going...

Today the GSE got new plugs, wires, high mileage oil change, wipers, and some injector cleaner. Oh yeah, it also got a K&N air filter (yeah K&N!). I was going to put belts on it, but they're good enough to make it until I get a smaller supercharger pulley. I'm going to get a 3.4" pulley...

Skidpads are round and steady, where autocross courses require a change of direction which is a big difference. Not much body roll on the S-10... Lane change tests are a better determination, or the figure eight test some magazines do. I've only read one "test" of the ZQ8 suspension about ...

Sadly, MY truck will out autocross the SS, and I'd put a cheeseburger on that. Most FWD cars plow like an interstate salt truck and a big V8 out front isn't going to help that problem. As far as how fast it will go in a straight line, I guess I'm not that concerned about that. I'll modify the ...

1999 Buick Regal GS

http://www.autotrader.com (No longer posted) Look quick because the posting will be gone soon. This is my newest ride for back and forth to work. This is a nice '99 Regal GSE with only 72k miles and every option you can think of. My wife asked why I bought such a "normal car". She asked wh...

The motor works when direct power is applied, but I couldn't figure out why the controller is not turning it on. I replaced the controller with no success... so I gave up.
