Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
In an effort to make the Saab more "truck-like" (used as a daily driver, low maintenance & very versatile) I opted to get rid of the factory carpeted floor mats. The mats that came with the car were in very good shape, and just needed a good cleaning to be real nice. The material they ...

Re: GMIvy Buick
Well..... It happened again! This time, we're not fixing it! GMIvy was driving the poor old girl and applied the brakes, and they weren't there.....AT ALL! I will never know what happened to them, because I didn't go under the car to look. When the car showed up at the rental store after the acciden...

It needs a huge "Esso" sticker right in the middle of it.

Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
Over the weekend, I had a chance to take the Saab a bit offroad. I hunt a farm in Thompson (very close to TRP -- close enough to hear a 10 second car burnout), and to get to the middle of the farm where I was hunting, I wanted to drive and not walk, as it's about a 1/4 mile walk uphill to get out. I...

Re: Home-Made Gas Drive Edger
I'm running a 7 1/4" blade in there right now.... it's spinning the
opposite way it would when it's cutting wood, so it's more aggressive
than the normal way it should spin.....there's no way I'd try and cut
anything but dirt with it, it's quite a handful, but is soooooo cool!!!

Home-Made Gas Drive Edger
Fred32v decided to bail on a Craftsman weed eater he had because he couldn't make it run. He gave it to me. I took it because I thought I could make it run, and sell it. I got it running (only on 1/4 choke!) real well. Because it only runs on choke, and a carb is $30.00 for it (the used weedeater is...

Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
I was thinking about a spray paint instead of dye... I guess I could check with an interior place that could dye them for me, but I think I'm more than capable of painting the gray myself, I paint well, especially with rattle cans...... I've found some internet sites that say they have a paint that ...

Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
ok ... so here's the deal... The Saab has two tone seats, light gray and black. I work in an environment that makes my pants get dirty, and I have to drive the car home after work, and do not want to change clothes for the ride home every day. I'd love for these seats to be black. They are cloth sea...

Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
Since my last post, some more progress has been made. The undercarriage has been pressure washed (huge amounts of mud in the fenderwells & on struts), and the motor was degreased. Wednesday was the day to do a little more work on the Saab. ( Last Wednesday was spent shagging parts and installing...

Maverick ...... I think I'd try heating that undercoating with a bernz-o-matic torch to
soften it up. I'm not 100% certain that it'll work, but I bet it would, and it'd eliminate
the drippy residual that would certaily be present if you used gas or diesel fuel.....

Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
So last Wednesday I purchased a hitch for the Saab. The internet showed an install time of approximately 30 minutes... They were close, it took me about 45, relatively painless. What was not mentioned was that wiring the trailer light pigtail would be relatively involved. I had to take out both tail...

Re: 2005 9.2x Linear
I don't expect to do any suspension upgrades or brakes or any of that stuff.... I'm just not a "go around corners fast" dude. I'm relatively happy with it just getting me from point a to point b and utility. I'm pretty pleased with how large it is inside for such a small car. I think, and ...
