Re: 2004 GTO
I believe it's a 3.46.
Re: 2004 GTO
No chip, Chris. The tuners have the ability to change the tables with a laptop. As to gas mileage, I get an honest 17-18 in town if I can keep myself from winding it out all the time. It's hard to do because it likes to run. It will get about 26 mpg with steady interstate driving at 75 MPH. My Vette...

Re: Greetings from Down Under
Speaking of your assignment, how did that go? Early on, you spoke of boredom with nothing to do. Did that change? will you be leaving with a sense of accomplishment?

It's good to have an update from Studly Down-under. I'll bet you are going to miss the G'days,
football, meat pies and Holden cars when they ship you back state-side.

Re: 2004 GTO
Maverick and I went to RPM Motorsports this morning for a DynoJet run to see what's goin' on under the hood. The first run hot off the street turned out 308 HP and 325 ft/lbs. Ryan the tuner said that he saw some things that could change that would make it run better, so I gave him the green light t...

Thanks for digging out the pictures, Fred. What great memories! When he acquired his 1962 Corvette with a 350 in it things really got serious, headers, slicks, etc.. Funny you mentioned that Vette. I reminds me that the slicks resulted in a broken axle at Thompson. This was followed by a white knuck...

Apparently I had it in the sweet spot of the price. Obviously, I'm very pleased at how it all worked out. The overall pristine condition and low miles had a lot to do with it.

This Nova is not really my kind of hot rod. It's tubbed and customized and not really a driver.
It does, however, bring back many great memories of Fred and I duking it out on the streets and strips of Cleveland when he had his big block Camaro and I had the '67 SS Nova.

Well, she's gone. The ad worked well. I had about four interested parties, but the first one bought it. http://s2.postimage.org/6ceqS.jpg http://s4.postimage.org/o52IS.jpg The buyer operates a shop called Big Rooster Hot Rods. He told me he intends to use the drive-train in this: http://s1.postimage...

Re: 1955 Ford from the 50's
Those were used at the night drags. Cars would gather on a local back road, line up and turn on their spotlights to light up the starting line and the flag starter.
But what about the Continental Kit? I've never understood that fashion statement.

An amazing labor of love. Denny must get a lot of satisfaction from this project.
He even remembered the spotlights! Very impressive!

While I'm pondering things, I have posted this ad on craigslist:

The decision may be made for me if the right person comes along.

Re: 1999 Z/28
In my opinion, if this is about money then your best bet is to sell it as is. If this is about the adventure and having a great story to tell, then proceed with the analysis. It is about both in my reasoning. It is a balance between the two. If I ended up breaking even on the money outlay, I would ...
Re: 1999 Z/28
Dave, I like the idea of dropping it from the bottom because of the damage to the engine cradle which would need to be replaced. But as Andy so wisely stated, I gotta spec out each part of the damage and add it up to see if I'm going down the wrong path. I keep forgetting that a car with a salvage t...
