Re: 1998 C5 Roadster

I know that I've gone far enough when I can beat Maverick. OK, that's it!!! Those shock towers are coming out for a Mustang II suspendsion and a 408 Windsor stroker. Just as soon as I convince my wife the Sprint needs a FOURTH engine. Maybe Dyno Don's Maverick Pro Stock is still for sal...

Re: garage design

Somebody mentioned a parts washer and where to place it. Good point, what do you do after washing a part? Rinse it off and/or blow it off with compressed air? Where? Inside your nice new garage? No, outside! So position these things near where they will need to be. Outside is not necessarily good in...

Re: garage design

I know plumbing complicates things a lot but a laundry tub for washing up would be very handy. A guy I know has his air compressor mounted on an outdoor slab extension to save space and avoid noise in the shop. Has a little slant roof over it. Didn't seem like a great idea to me but, its been like ...

Re: garage design

. Maybe I'm overthinking a bit, but I just don't wanna get a building up and go "oh, wish I would've done XYZ instead." -Dave You always end up saying that! You are on the right track with planning as much as possible. Some things to think about: 1. Windows. i know you said skylights, and...

Re: 2008 Trailblazer SS

Earlier this year Auto Restorer magazine did a 2 part story on battery maintainers. They tested the battery minder's desulfating ability. It clearly worked. They also used it to bring back a dead battery. I guess if a battery goes dead due to sulfation this could be a great device. I wish i had seen...

Re: 2008 Trailblazer SS

The following link (and lnks it points to) show a wealth of info about charging. And AGM, GEL and standard lead acid batteries charge and discharge differently. While this is the Deltran site (battery tender), there is another product called Battery Minder which actually has a "de-sulfation&quo...

Re: Cadillac

Looks real good! A couple of questions though. 1. Are there any links from the rear end/axle to the frame? The old Stock and Super Stock full size chevys, and 66 and up chevelles (I think) had a link from the rear to the frame, making a 3 link. We would weld another from the other side of rear to th...

Great pictures and videos! I am impressed by your Caddy BP! It not only looks cool but its fast. I love the front engine dragster and especially the Ford tow car
Both of those would be excellent for our nostalgia drag race club. Looks like the Ford has a Y block in it. Really nice stuff!

Re: Thompson Oct 8th, 2011

This weekend we ran at Atco and it was Mopar day. Surprisingly (to me) there were a lot of street cars, new street cars, like Dodge Magnums and Jeep Suv's. But, a lot of them were in the 12s. Very depressing. That area of the pits looked like a used car lot with lines of black SUVs. But 12's???? Com...
