Re: 2023 Kuhnle Motorsports Park Wednesday nights

Another fun Wednesday is in the books! I took the Chevelle out for, I think, the 6th time this season. I'm trying to make up for all the times I couldn't take it last year. It didn't feel like good air, and the DA was around 2500 when we got there, but I still put down a 12.39 @ 108 for my first pas...

Re: 1979 Malibu

Woohoo, it's back home! I picked it up on Thursday evening, was gone all day Friday, and started continuing with work on Saturday. I had to replace a few headers bolts that must've backed at at Dragway 42. I moved the Fan Relay, it was too close to the turbo. I'm waiting for a few more parts to fini...

Re: Chevelle Projects 2023

I did another 140 miles in the car yesterday. I headed out to Tony's in Avon, and then we continued on to Lorain to meet up with another member from chevelles.com. It's been a while since I've really driven it on the freeway and forgot just how good it is out there. I can run in the left lane with e...

Re: 1979 Malibu

Steve Jr. sent me a video last night of the car running as they moved it over to their lift! The last step is the rear gear swap, 4.10 --> 3.55. I believe I'll be picking it up this week!!

Re: Chevelle Projects 2023

Took the Chevelle on a nice looong cruise today, totaling about 250 miles! We went to Andover, crossed the Pymatuming causeway, then we headed north up PA 98 and made our way Presque Isle State Park, our 'destination'. We made a nice slow cruise through the park, and then started on our way back hom...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

The guy who fixed it, Bryan @ batee.com agreed. He responded to my email within a half hour. He said to send it back, they will take care of it.

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

I've run out of things on the other cars to procrastinate with, so I got back to this today. I finally took a video.. tell me what you think about the tach movement.

Re: 2014 Ford F-150

The K&N arrived this weekend and I installed it this morning. The previous filter was from June 2020, 63K miles. In the 150+ miles I've put on it since the plugs/coils, the mileage has definitely improved. In all around driving, I'd struggle to get 14.7-15mpg, now I'm at 16.5. I haven't done any...

Re: 1996 Collector Edition Corvette

I dont think you really get vapor lock on a line pressurized at 45psi. There's no where for it to boil off to. At key-on, the fuel pump should run for 2 seconds. If there was a lack of pressure, you should hear the sound from the pump as it pressurizes. And as soon as you start cranking, its going t...

Re: 2014 Ford F-150

80,067. Plugs and coils are done. All said, it was a pretty painless job. It would've been easier with a spark plug socket that has the rubber insert, but I just used a short piece of fuel hose to retrieve the plugs out of the hole, and a piece of vacuum hose over the tip to re-install. The old plug...

Re: 2014 Ford F-150

80,059 miles. Front brakes are done. For basically the same money as Autozone parts, I was able to get Motorcraft Rotors & Pads from Nick Mayer Ford in Mayfield Hts. Still need to install my plugs and coils.
