Heh, I should get my dad on this thread, though he's not really a gearhead at all. But, he's at 100+. Scary.

I haven't made it to the track yet in the SS. Sounds like a good bar to set :)

I am so mad I am not there right now. The gods were against me. I had to stop at my property on the way home and discovered someone tried to break into my storage container. Had to file a police report. Some other crap too, but that part killed me. Looks like some idiot tried to use a chunk of aspha...

I'm glad I got the 3SS package. Steering wheel controls are super nice. Oh, and just a clarification. It is actually an AWD, not 4WD. It's not switchable - though there is tractional control you can turn off. What a waste :) I think it's there as part of the stabilitrak which does go off if you get ...

Stop picking on the TBSS. Some of us are very proud of theirs :) Kind of nice to be able to haul ass and haul a trailer!

I think there must be a more lax security setting for this General Discussion forum than the rest. Maybe it needs made private or something? They aren't spamming in other forums.

Well, nothing terribly exciting, but the Pimpin Lincoln Townhouse is doing better. Did a tune up and swapped tranny fluid over to synthetic. Both helped fix a shuddering shift problem. As of my last and third tank of gas, I can claim 23.6 MPG thanks to some FI cleaner. Should get a little more when ...

Big pimping in the LTC

Well, I needed to get a second car to keep the miles off the Trailblazer SS. So I am living large (literally) now in the new 97 Lincoln Town Car. 68k miles and it's an Executive series. Has a sweet maroon leather interior much like BP's 'Master. In fact, I owe BP a big thanks on hooking me up with t...

I may just be in the neighborhood that weekend as I have a big client out just west of Harrisburg that I normally have to work at around that time. If so, I'll likely take the soon-to-be-acquired Hot Rod Lincoln Town Car. I think the Fiero will fit in the trunk of that thing.

You'll want to look at this section:

http://www.phpbb.com/support/guide/#section3_2_2_1

You can set the account creation mode to "admin" for approval. You can also try the visual code setting which helps weed out robot signups i.e.e "enable visual confirmation.

The other option is to force admin approval for all accounts. If that's time consuming, perhaps a few moderators can pitch in and be granted the rights to approve as well. That should prevent almost all spamming.
