Re: Cadillac

This weekend I cut all the mounts off the new 9". This week I'm going to buy a hand grinder and smooth out some of the leftover welds. There's a bunch of them since the guy that put the rearend together went weld crazy on the top mounts. http://s3.postimage.org/b5upd0w4/9incutbefore.jpg http://...

Re: 2011 NPD All Ford Show in Silver Springss

I'm thinking 8-10 hp. I like clutch fans better than flex fans and you can't go wrong with an electric. As far as pulleys go, check ebay... I saw several on there a few minutes ago. I searched 302 Crankshaft pulley. I found a complete set of underdrive pulleys on ebay in aluminum for my 455 Olds for...

Re: 1963 Corvette

If it's anything like my '71 Vette, I'd pull the trans out and away from the bell housing, but leave the bell housing and clutch assy attached to the motor. Then I would put it back in the same way, with the clutch already centered. The problem with the Vettes is that the cross member for the trans ...

I was 19/20. The last question got me. Something must have changed over the last couple years.

Re: 2007 Avalanche modifications

I'll take it!! The only drawback I see for you is coming up north when its crappy outside. You might need to find a good $3000 pickup after you buy your SRT-8! A nice in between would be an AWD 300C with the Hemi. Another car that came to mind was the Grand Prix with the same 5.3 like in mostmint's ...

Re: 2006 TrailBlazer

I think that the Exploder would win in the 1/8th, but the TB would catch it by the 1/4 mile. I can't wait to find out!

Re: 1979 Trans Am

Well, I took my last drive in the TA today when the guy came to pick it up. We took it for a test run and loaded it on the trailer. I'll miss it, but launching the Caddy like it should be launched will make it worth while. Here's the action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=timLSA3Tt7U http://s3.posti...

Here's a few shots of the rearend. Funny, I didn't notice the writing on the back until I got it home. "How will I know which wallet is yours?" ... "It's the one that says, 'Bad Mother F**ker' ". Jacin, you're the expert of the group, tell me what you think about what you see in ...
