Not sure how I missed this.. but that looks pretty cool. I wonder how well it'd work on an EFI application. Looking at their message board, it looks like guys are using them for EFI... I mention this because after my car sits a while, the pressure in the fuel rail eventually bleeds down to 0. When I...

Woodward Dream Cruise

I'm heading up to Detroit tomorrow to check out the Woodward Dream Cruise. It's supposed to be miles, and miles, and miles (16?) of just cool cars, all cruising. I'm gonna take the Chevelle, a good toolbox, my cellphone, and camera. Hopefully I'll find some good photo opportunities.

I'd be up for that.

But I think my Beretta is too much for the Lumina.

Beretta vs. Dodge pickup?
Beretta vs. 442?

What's even cooler is that there are some videos from Cleveland. Some dude in a 4th gen T/A. They look to be racing over some bridge, from west --> east.

Well, another day and another break-down. Fortunately I was not on the freeway this time. I was heading downtown, taking the surface streets. I had just gone down Murray Hill and was about to turn left onto Euclid Ave when the car again just died. No action from the fuel pump. The car wanted to star...

Well, the new distributor works like a charm. I installed it last week so that I could make it out to Thompson on Wednesday. The distributor was installed almost exactly as it came out of the box from MSD. I did change the very heavy advance springs, to the medium blue ones. According to MSD's chart...

Yeah, I went 12.99 with it at Dragway 42. 3-4 weeks ago. Since then I upped the fuel pressure, but haven't really re-tuned the fuel map to compensate. I tried minor adjustments last night The stumbling off the line from fuel moving away from the pickup is getting very irritating too. I just looked o...

If the car isn't running, maybe the bike!

Well, the Chevelle is running, so I'll most likely be there with it.

Drag results, 7-27-2005

Went out to TRP tonight with the Chevelle. In short, lackluster results. 13.20s, with a best of 13.16. I lost in the first round with a host of problems. 13.77 @ 100 (out of gas) 13.206 @ 102.104 13.266 @ 101.903 13.210 @ 101.726 13.166 @ 102.428 14.948 (round 1, 13.20 dial-in) -- had all sorts of p...

Well, after another round of frustration and disappointment with the computer-controlled timing, I've decided to put that project on the back burner. It's almost August and I want to drive/race this thing. I'm tired of working on it all the time. So I went out and bought a MSD Pro-Billet (that's rig...

I just saw the pics your dad sent out -- dude, that thing looks awesome for $1000. Regular cab, short-bed, 2wd... perfect. nice wheels, huh.. What kind of gears does it have? 8.8 or 9-inch rear? Perfect time to change gears when you take the springs out! How much will the new springs cost? -Dave
