Really talkes a good picture, how do you keep it so clean?

Confused the 56 Chrysler with the 56 DeSoto. Otherwise got them all. Not surprising for anyone our age.

BTW, I noticed he was using an electric waterpump on the dyno. Are you going to do that too? Remember, everything you run off the crank eats up hp, water pump, alternator, AC. power steering.

Totally impressed with the progress you are making. I too am impressed with the dyno numbers. I don't know if hs 425 was accurate, but losing 15 hp dropping down to a 600 cfm carb seems about right. If thats a true 410 HP your strip times will really pick up. You know your limitations, rear gear rat...

The Maverick is a driver not a trailer queen. It is going to get dirty. That said, it looked pretty clean to me.

The whole assembly is brass. Cylindrically shaped. About a third of the way down is an o ring which seals in the bore. The old needle valves are tapered to a point. The new ones are flat topped. If i get a chance 'll add a picture tomorrow.

That o-ring is weird. Can't imagine how it got from sealed to that all by itself??? My thought exactly. The more I looked at it it seemed as if something heavy was placed on it, or something was pressed against it. Yet it did not leak for months (or it started out so lightly that it was imperciptib...
