Re: A great car story.

Hey Fred32v ....

I did a title search on your 68 Camaro. After a real long time, I found out that
it was recycled multiple times. It is now my washing machine. You're welcome to
take it for a test drive whenever you like!!!!

Re: 1998 C5 Roadster

I think it was Parnelli Jones who said " If your still in control, you're not going fast enough. "
Unfortunately, I was still in control. Darn.......

Re: 1998 C5 Roadster

Wow, it's been a while since I posted on this vette. Early spring, as posted, I had a cam shaft installed. Since then, I had the converters cleaned out and installed a new air filter. Aside from the air filter, the car still looks bone stock, cast manifolds and all. The last pass through the dyno, I...

Re: 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon

Matt ... As I recall, a lid for an aerosol paint can lid fit really well into the hole on the bottom of "home plate" to plug it up. I used a piece of exhaust pipe from a truck at work for getting rid of "first base" but seem to remember thinking about using pvc pipe to do the sam...

Re: garage design

Dave, What I know about the heated floor is that you have to plan on having it in use all season round to be effective. I toured Middlefield Farm & Garden's shop with the owner several years ago when the new rental store in Middlefield was being constructed. The owner loved the system, and was g...

Re: garage design

Smoker, I'm assuming that your decision may hinge a bit on budget. If so, I have to think that entering the short side will most probably be the least expensive. Extra garage doors will add to the cost. I agree with your uncle, I think entering the long side is better, largely because you don't have...

Re: 2008 Trailblazer SS

I only have a very little to contribute, but here goes. At work, we have many machines that need to be maintained. In the over 20 years I have in there, I can only think of one or two times that we ran into overcharge issues. In those situations, we replaced the alternator and the problem was solved...

Re: cheap car racing

I guess I'm wondering about 100% stock. If you port a stock head, it's still a stock head, there's just a little bit less of it than there was when you started. The same with the intake. It does rule out cam swap, but there might be a rocker arm that is stock but gives more lift. You have to think l...

Re: cheap car racing

If you guys are trying for more horespower, why not look into ways to make the motor you have produce more. Dave likes what's there, Andy wants more power... combine the two. Back in the day, we'd take motors we had and MAKE them go faster. Cylinder head work, cam shaft, etc .... I'm sure that somew...

Re: 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon

Matt ... Looks awesome! Does it have the LT1, or is it a 5.0? The number of exhaust tips is the dead giveaway. Also, it looks like the air shocks are flat. I had a gunboat just like the one you got, and enjoyed it for 5 years before the Ohio road salt rotted it to junk. Some tiresmokers may remember...

Re: 2000 Regal GS

So I've been driving the Regal daily since I installed the wheel bearings in April. Just recently ( 2 days ago ), I'm getting this annoying vibration at 50 mph and up. Yesterday morning, as I pull into the church parking lot, I'm getting this cyclical rubbing, grinding noise from the left front. I'v...
