I went. The event (on 1/15/06) was basically a bust. It was half the size of the regular meet there. I covered it all in half an hour and there were no Corvette parts I could recognize.

Sorry I won't make this one. The concept Camaro looks good but not enough to get me up to Detroit to see it.

animuL results

Man there were a lot of cars. Over 200 cars there today. I got two time trials. The first was a 16.64 @ 83.02 mph. I actually had to let off the gas to reduce the wheelspin on that pass. The 60' time was 2.49. So I dropped front tire air pressue to 27 psi, and that did the trick. The second time it ...

I guess I don't have any real superstitions. I also try to be the first one in line, or at least near the front. I think there is less idling (or less pushing the car) and less starting and shutting off the engine if I am near the front. I would also be closer in time to the last time the track was ...

The animuL will be there if the weather is nice enough to allow a regular bracket racing program.

My guess is that in order to win this, they would have to allow me to submit 1/8 mile times against everyone else's 1/4 mile times - but that probably won't even be enough.

Now if they had a second category for best reaction time at each track, or closest to dial, or the combined of those two...

I assume you have a tube bending tool.

If the corner is too sharp, get a 90 degree fitting and cut and flare the line.

How do you heat the garage?

After some delay I worked on the car this week. I installed the new inner u-joints and put it back together. They felt better than the old ones and I wanted to know if they would fix the problem. It did not fix the problem however. It appears they are hitting about 45 degrees from the bottom of the ...

The first vehicle I remember named was a blue Ford 4 wheel drive truck at the rental shop. We called it "the beast". And it was. No power steering on a 4-wheel drive 3/4 ton truck that was supposed to have power steering. Then they would put a plow iron on the front. The frame was from a 7...
