Faster Than My '68 Camaro SS396?

Up until now my fastest quarter mile car was my 1968 Camaro SS396, with 350 hp. It ran 13.92sec, 105.6 mph. The blue Oldsmoblies were in the high 13.90's, but just barely over 100mph. With a little practice, traction compund, and go weather, I hope to have my career best ET and MPH. A time of 13.7's...

Ready for Home Improvement Projects

The TBSS comes in two wheel drive. It will also tow and haul 4 by 8 sheets of plywood, shurbs, paint, or whatever. Perfect for your trips to Lowes and Home Depot. I know Matt is always working on his home. I still vote for the TBSS!

What price daily entertainment?

Ask yourself, do you look forward to driving your Impala every time you get in it. I just bet that you would be excited just walking up to that SS even before you fire it up. It would provide you enjoyment every day, every time you get in it. It could be a serious upper! I don't think that small del...

Color Smolor

You guys are all missing the point. With this SS the color simply doesn't matter as long as you can run 13's. Everytime your washing it you'll be thinkin' about them 13 second passes and those rice tuners that you smoked. Go for it Matt.

On The Road Again!

Well, the GT passed eCheck with room to spare. Driving exposed a problem with the alternator. Removing the exhaust header was all it took to replace the bad alternator, and a new battery has been installed as well. With almost a hundred miles on the GT, things seem to have settled down. It will be g...

Carpet?

Yes, I think some really nice RED SHAGGY carpet would make Nellie Belle look classy! Maybe some artifical turf in green. OK, I'm not helping, but a coat of flat black rust proof paint and some inexpensive mats would work just fine or something. grins.

Very Close

Notice the new B. F. Goodrich (Coker) white sidewall tires. Strange size. The re-plated deck lid panel has arrived and been installed. Looks great. http://upload7.postimage.org/738915/2007_0416GCE64SS003.jpg http://upload7.postimage.org/738931/2007_0416GCE64SS004.jpg The wheel covers will be availab...

Road Tested

Sorry, no pictures, but, after this Saturday's efforts, the GT has toured the development on its' own power, purring like a kitten.

Never to early

It's not too early to start thinking and planning for Corvettes @ Carlisle. I thought there might be a set of tires in Akron for a certain Vette? If WXO comes early to retrieve his tires we might be able to go to Carlisle together or something. I was planning on leaving for Carlisle Thursday mid-mor...

It Runs Again

The Fiero has begun its' resurrection. The process has involved a few Saturday and Sunday sessions, but we fired up the 2.8 today. http://upload7.postimage.org/602577/2007_0407FieroGT001.jpg http://upload7.postimage.org/602587/2007_0407FieroGT002.jpg Now to connect the exhaust pipes, add water, chan...

Homeless 350

I just saw a homeless 350 (see Homeless 350 in General Discussions) on MostMint's garage floor. It would propel that Chevelle until you can bring your good motor back to life. How desparate are you? :(

Update

How many miles since the 460 upgrade was complete? Does it use any oil? Is the mileage any better than the old 360? General comments. Would you do it again?
