TRP Outing Sunday Aug 3rd

This Sunday is Ford vs GM at TRP. I plan to go, most likely with the T-bird. I think Karder will be racing his new Grand Prix GT. 32v will most likely bring the new red monster. I'd like to see MarkSS with the Impala out there (since the rest of us will be slow...) How 'bout Tiresmoker in the Mustan...

I think they did something on the Dusters which had a targa style - retractable roof. I know the Duster also offered a snakeskin roof...

The insulation is now up on the walls. The man door between garages is done. The front window is installed too. The roof on the house is complete too. Things have slowed down some, but there's a large pile of drywall sheets piled up and under cover in the garage right now, so more should be happenin...

I understand some baseline numbers, but the car is not stock anyway. And since the updates are tried and true upgrades, doing them now is cool IMO. That thing will sound so sweet!
Worst case I should have the driveshaft after the Carlisle weekend. Should be somewhere between $80 and $100.

A guy in high school had this exact car. It was the same color and everything. He kept it real nice and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same car since it's from this area.

I think the only reason they want the colder theremostat is to keep detonation under full throttle down because of the more aggressive timing brought on by the chip. If you don't get any pinging noise under full throttle, especially while it's warm outside, you're probably OK with the 180 in there. ...

How easy to make fast though. Dual exhaust, a four barrel, and a 3.2x gear and that car would be in the 15's without thinking, if not in the 14's. I do love the Impalas. I was looking at Impala's before I bought my Vette...This is probably why I like the Caddy so much, it's like a fancy Impala (with...

More progress over the last couple days (not including today)... Well, I can't load a picture for some reason, but the shingles on the house are done now, but a storm blew in yesterday before they could get sheeting down, and now I have a couple stains in my ceiling... While moving some items off th...

With about three hours left in the auction, the reserve was met at $8000. Nothing happened since then and the car sold for $8k. I have three people that emailed me that said they are willing to pay that same money for it if something happens to the high bidder, so either way, the car will go, and Jo...

The problem is definitely a ground issue. I'd say if you found hard evidence of a ground problem, that you've got it licked. Good luck...

All good from what I've heard, but I figure if they don't like it, they won't say anything anyway. I would guess if anyone doesn't like it, it will be the people directly behind me, and they're so annoying, that if it upsets them somehow, that's good. All the people on my street (I live on a corner)...

I'm not sure if it's 9' or 10'. I'm pretty sure it's 10'. The main garage door is 8' x 18', that's why I think it's taller. Either way, there'll be no lift in my future. I could have built it with a lift in mind, but with the size and configuration, a lift would have taken up too much space.
