First thing to do

The first project should be to read and understand what is in the SS's owner's manual. It's amazing have intelligent that SS really is. It's doing secret things that you just would not believe are going on. Took me quite a while to get through my car's books, but I'm sure glad I did. Enjoy! :) Alway...

vs ETC

Just for comparison, the ETC, under the absolute best conditions ran 14.54 @94.96 with 2.193 60 foot. On a normal day it was 14.80's @ 93mph. On it's worst day that SS will be solidly in the 14's and well over 95mph. Can spring weather come soon enough. Seems several of us have an itch to scratch.

Quick conversion

Ok, my turn! :D I was finally able ro use the knowledge that I acquired while racing HO slot cars, smaller resistor for more response. Just finished converting the STSv to an STS14 V olt with the conversion kit I got from Green Valley Performance Racing, just down the road from those losers at Summi...

Prices be damned.
I'm not ready to stop enjoying my vehicles.
I'm with WXO, as soon as the weathter breaks,
I'm topping off with 94 octane and heading out.
Spring can't get here fast enough!

OK!

Great video and sound. Even more progress! I know nothing, but maybe it thinks the car is still cold.
I wonder if it was flooded? I can hardly wait for the next installment.

FORD CD's

Over my lifetime I've collected all the MOTOR Service manuals and the CHILTON Service manuals back to the very early 30's. Should you need to replace the clutch in your 1936 Packard, I'll loan you the manual as I did for Rick's Garage. I always prefered the MOTOR Books. Maybe because they require so...

Totalled?

Take that thing to the Classic Dealer Autobody Shop for the repair and it will certainly go Totalled at about $4K. Aside from the springs, shocks, brake work, new CD player, original repair of the left front, wax job, detailing, new tires, rear end, Tune up, etc., I'm not sure that $4k covers it. Su...

Nothing like a really cold, snowy weekend in the middle of January to create some really great progress.
Looks like Tiresmoke will be in the 12's smokin' again, probably before Easter, well OK, Memorial Day. :)
