Truck in the stable
Mrs. mostmint has decided she wants a truck. So now she has a truck. It is an 08 Chevy Colorado crew cab with the Z71 package. It has 13000 miles and still has 1 year left on the warranty. Did my research and got a good price on it. Of course it has the 240 hp inline 5, limited slip differential and...
Re: 1999 Z/28
I keep forgetting that a car with a salvage title will sell for considerably less and may not give me back what I put into it in parts (disregarding my time and labor). In my opinion, if this is about money then your best bet is to sell it as is. If this is about the adventure and having a great st...
Re: 1999 Z/28
It won't cost that much time to spec out everything that needs done. Once you have an estimate you can decide if it's worth it. You already have a replacement toy so there is no rush. When the passenger side airbag deploys it hits the windshield.
Re: 1999 Z/28
Thanks for the explanation. I couldn't put it together from the pics what happened. I'm glad only the car took damage. These kinds of wrecks are why the IIHS does the offset crash tests.

Re: 1998 C5 Roadster
The trans can be shifted my RPM or MPH. When the ring gear was changed Hutter had to recalibrate and missed it a little. The fuel cutout is by RPM. Need to raise the RPM max or lower the shift point at WOT.
Just a guess as maybe the Vette is different than the SS.

Re: Greetings from Down Under
So the other day tiresmoker himself called me from down under with an important question: In the movie Mad Max, what tune did the little music toy play (from the dead guy in the Mack truck)? He was them at a flea market and wanted to get one as a souvenir. I had no idea so I had to check the movie. ...
