Re: 2000 Regal GS

Not all GS's said "supercharged" (depends on the year, but I'm not sure which is which). Also, there was the GSE which is just a LOADED GS. There are probably few LSE's, which is just the completely loaded, and normally aspirated version. There were even few Joseph Aboud editions which had...

Re: 1979 Trans Am

I did get a call tonight from a younger guy who has had all sorts of stock firebirds and now wants one that will just go fast. He's got a guy picking up his '71 this weekend, and plans to call me back then. Seems very interested... we'll see.

Re: Cadillac

When things shift and cause other things to break, I've come to the conclusion that it's tranny time. This appears to be the winner: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TCI-211312/ TCI appears to be the only one that makes a LONG tailshaft turbo 400. I'm going to try to get ahold of Camaro Bob and see...

Re: Cadillac

So a couple weeks ago I jumped in the caddy to go for a quick spin to Chardon. I made it not quite a mile away when on a small downhill under decelleration I heard a pretty good bang come from under the car, and immediately following heard a kind of rubbing or squeeking noise that was directly relat...

Looks great! (and also looks pretty tough to do)

Can't wait to see this thing done. I love it!

Re: TRP - AUGUST

We worked hard to make the car look fast. He ran in the 18.30's... He and Emily worked on it last winter quite a bit for Emily. It has a 200 cid straight 6, with a c4 auto. This winter it will get a much more stout 302 with a 5spd, most likely landing it well into the 13's. So if you want your car t...

Re: OBD Scanners

Any local autozone, advance auto parts (or Pepboys if that helps), will have a code scanner and read your codes for you. Code scanners will pretty much only give you numbers, and a lot of the time you'll have to look the codes up relative to your specific vehicle to see exactly what that means to yo...

That truck is awesome. I've always like it and will hate to see it go. But when it's time, it's time.

Good luck!

Re: Chevelle 2009 projects

I would just smooth them out with some emery cloth, and put them back together. Is your other option turning the crank again, or getting a new crank?

Re: TRP - AUGUST

Here's a couple shots of the action. The caddy was a little too fast for my camera, but I was able to hold onto the Mustang in action. And a victory shot at home in the garage. http://s3.postimage.org/K9Wt9.jpg http://s3.postimage.org/K9YYi.jpg http://s3.postimage.org/Ka2XA.jpg http://s3.postimage.o...

1979 Trans Am

I've decided I don't use this car enough, and could put the money towards my Caddy rearend and some S-10 parts. Not to mention the time I spend on the Trans Am takes away from the cars I care more about. I like the T/A, and it's fun, but it seems about time to go. We'll see if I get any bites: http:...

None of them have good service, but I think the food is a little better at Spinners. Let's shoot for Spinners at 9.
