So do we know what the real problem was? You mentioned the injector guy said he thought yours were ok...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

Today we got the third brake like bulbs back in order and all working again. Then we tackled the wiring for the trailer. It's a generic harness with GM colors on it. After a quick trip to YouTube University, I figured out how to remove the taillights and get to some of the wires we needed to splice ...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

He has some pretty good ideas. I don't like the exhaust dumps right underneath the passenger's compartment. Might get a little gassy inside the car, especially before you go on grid. I do like his better sway bars though. Some good info for sure.

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660

I have a set of these Kenda Speedracer tires coming already mounted like you see. This will be my hard surface rubber so I don't wear out my dirt tires riding around the development or at the drag strip. Probably be a little smoother and better handling too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/403790287298 -BP

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

Yesterday got the new headlights installed. We also removed the power antenna assembly but borrowed some pieces from the assembly to make it look stock still. Saved only about 3lbs, but we weren't going to be using it anyway, so it's gone. We pulled the 3rd brake light assembly apart as one of the b...

Re: 2003 S-10

I'm actually expecting them to jack my rate up anyway because I actually made a claim. Another lose/lose scenario. I remember getting a quote on three cars a couple years back with agreed value insurance and it was about $1000/year through Hagerty. We'll see what it is with the Vette, S10, and GT500...

Re: 2003 S-10

Agreed. It's why you see extremely high paid celebrities in all of the ads on TV and their HQ buildings are off the charts. It's big business for sure. But the lesson is to get the best insurance for your application, and I definitely did not do that.

Re: 2003 S-10

BTW, the $4800 was light as I bought a hood, headlights, grill, and fender on my own dime adding another $450 or so to the tally.

Re: 2003 S-10

A long story short, State Farm didn't want to pay my claim and instead wanted to total the truck out. After several hours of discussion, emails, and visits from an estimator, the truck will maintain it's clear title status. The sad part is that they're only going to pay about $3400 of my $4800 bill....

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

Even with the regular old yellowish halogen sealed beams and fog lights, I didn't think the headlights were too bad and I've done some night driving with this car. I had some plastic halogen upgrade replacement light assemblies on order but they were backordered forever so I cancelled it and just or...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

Yesterday we got the new steering wheel installed. It took a couple attempts as I forgot one step, and also had to chase a couple threads. But at the end of the day the new, not dried and cracked steering wheel is installed and looks good. Next week we'll put new headlights in and remove the power a...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

On the Vette this weekend we removed the rear speakers and boxes (actually only one speaker was there, but two BOSE boxes), removed the rear cargo shade and shade hooks up front, and pulled all the insulation out from under the carpet. Total weight savings there was about 15 lbs. This car is a littl...

Re: 2003 S-10

The truck is basically done and has returned home. I only say basically because it has to go back for a wet sand and buff after some time for the paint to really dry out. I'll most likely bring it back in the Spring when I can drive it there and back. It turned out nice, and the longer it sits, the ...
