It is like being an organ donor for me. If that was my starter, it was long overdue.

I need some more opinions on this. I am looking for van tires. I thought I was just going to put a couple of new ones on the front as those are showing cracks and wear. The rears look nice. Turns out they are the same age, 9 years old. I hate spending $170 a tire on a vehicle that I don’t plan to ke...

Thanks for the suggestions. I am leaning the A-team direction. I love it when a plan comes together. I have finished most of the electrical work. My cameras are working and I figured out what to do with the extra wire for the RV plug (separate brake and turn signal bulbs requires a converter). I che...

I spent most of the weekend working on the van. It was single digits outside so there wasn't much better to do and a heated garage makes life easy. It is the first time I have really worked on a vehicle in years. It was nice to cut my hands up again. Projects underway are all electrical. I am instal...

We had a motorcyclist hit a bear up here - no video though. I have a video that plays in my head of a deer flashing in front of my friend's jeep on a West Virginia highway at 70 mph only to get halfway in front of the pickup in the lane next to us. The back half of the deer spun underneath the rear ...

One version that circulated at work reported that the crash test dummy in the Malibu suffered a minor knee injury while the dummy in the '59 was an instant death. I used to feel pretty safe in some of my big old steel cars, but clearly technology wins.

Even I have raced a few different cars on that stretch. You can also get a challenging left turn start to a race off of River Road, second car gets inside lane. I usually drove Wilson Mills to River to Mayfield on my way home when I worked in Collinwood. Had the Audi at that time.

After we talked, I went back and crawled underneath every corner. This thing is super clean - I had to buy it. It has been banged and dented a few times, but without any salt, it has no rust. I used the 110V service this morning as it was about 12 degrees. The thing isn't just northern equipped, it ...

I have no hot rodding plans for this thing and I doubt that the tires will ever smoke, but here it is, a 2001 Chevy G3500 cargo van with 28,000 miles. I had to consult with GMJohnny before writing a check for one of these odd GM products (what's a 350 chevy???) http://www.knapp.rinestock.com/van.jpg

I just saw this show for the first time last week while on a business trip. It is kind of fun. Seems like there should be a drinking game in it.

The last time I drove a vega, the driver's door swung open while making a right turn. Was that a standard feature?
