I finally took a ride over my lunch break the other day and Pull-A-Part on West 130th is literally right next door to where I used to work, at Metal Management. The site that Pull-A-Part is on used to be a storage container depot. I'm heading over there on Saturday morning to try and get some odds a...

Ron Capps (NHRA driver) was the one that piloted the 10.6 @ 140. It would be interesting to see what proper gearing would do for it.

Walt, I don't think anything has changed with posting pictures in a long time. I haven't made any.. errr... glad you like the upgrades!

What was different for you this time around?

I'm a big fan of two-tone paint and I think that one looks pretty nice. Go for it!

Holy cow -- literally. That thing is heavier than my Chevelle. I guess that surprises me for some reason. Makes you wonder what one of those extended-cab 4wd pigs must weigh.

You make a good point about the potential failures. Something I'll keep in mind.

I don't know if they make 220v timers or not, I just assumed they did. I'm a big fan of timers.

Nice. Now to build a closet with sound deadener for the compressor. Way more interesting than painting walls. :) I think the sound deadening is a long way off, but something Dad and I did briefly discuss. It did power up this morning around 7am. Must be a small leak somewhere. I think I might look ...

Air Supply

Well, I spent the better part of the weekend finishing a project I've wanted done since I moved in -- air compressor in the basement, but plumbed up to the garage. Sounds like a simple task, except my main electrical panel was full, with no room for expansion, and my compressor runs on 220 volt. So,...

Not to be a party-pooper, but I have pretty much zero interest in the Ford meet. Granted, Carlisle for me is more about hanging out than the actual meet, but I'd rather do Fall or Spring than Ford.

OVR's season kicks off Sept. 13-14, when I will be busy piloting a 24 Hours of Lemons car with Team Trackaddicts... ah well. You're going to be driving with TrackAddicts? I read that site quite a bit, but don't post often. TrackAddict (Mark M.) is a friend of mine from college and I sorta followed ...

Driving home from work on Friday, just after I got off the freeway, I smelled a burning smell, then coolant, then realized I had no power steering. It seems it threw a belt. I was lucky and caught all green lights and was able to coast into the shell station at 91 & Wilson Mills. I got my dad to...
