Re: 2008 Trailblazer SS

Ok, I'm back on my transmission cooler thing. I ordered a B&M SuperCooler and a filter kit from Advance Auto when they had the 20% off deal this weekend. This was after searching around for a deep pan with temperature sender bung and having no success. As I stated earlier, in response to BP's su...

Re: The Trailblazer SS

Sunday the 9th is Randi's 60th birthday. To extent possible, I would like to focus on her that day since she was so gracious as to agree to this trip.

Re: 2008 Trailblazer SS

Nope. We were just practicing our launches while we had the track to ourselves. I'm really bad getting all my ducks in a row and then trying to time the countdown all at the same time. Four runs is hardly enough for me to even get started working the tree. About 7pm the cars started filing in and we...

Re: The Trailblazer SS

It's amazing that you would have one of the Rookie's timeslips. There is room for improvement on Smoke's timeslips. I'd like to start with a 52 degree day.

Re: 1972 Maverick Sprint

Andy, don't forget who you are talking to here. We are just two old guys who haven't been to the track for ages and with untested cars come the strip to race and have some fun. We had to walk up and down the track to see where the staging lights were. We then walked to the end to make sure we knew w...

Re: Dunn Benson Dragway

I may have to work on burnouts with this girl. 8) I was surprised at how softly Smoke left the starting line. Even though I took the slop out of the driveline, and with the traction control off , she walked away with virtually no wheelspin. It felt like a the ECM was controlling the torque band rath...

Dunn Benson Dragway

Just a quick update for tonight. We had a great night. Got there when the gates opened and left just as the crowd started filing in. We got in a bunch of runs back to back, but Maverick was having a problem with his 1-2 shift not happening under WOT and didn't want to abuse the tranny so we called i...

Re: 2008 Trailblazer SS

Well, I guess I'm ready for the track tomorrow night. I made a major improvement to performance last night. No. It wasn't the tranny cooler, although that's coming soon. This modification should get me into the 13's for sure: http://snipurl.com/12wo9x [ss-shootout_com] 8) I was thinking maybe I shou...

Re: 2008 Trailblazer SS

but I'm thinking the MPG is not that far apart since that 6 cylinder had to work a little harder. Me thinks you can hardly wait to run errands with the SS! I haven't been able to get accurate gas mileage comparisons, but it seems that Smoke is doing slightly better around town. As far as running er...

The listing is back out there on craigslist, but I delete and repost it every week to bring it to the top of the listings. I just don't refresh the link on TS. Hits have been nil up this point. I reduced the price to $10,995 this week.
