Re: TRP 2019

All my runs last night were quicker than my previous best of 11.94. I had a .86, a .91, and an .88 in eliminations where I went .02 red. It was fun seeing Fred and Dave duke it out in a very close race, and see Tony going rounds. At least one of us got some hardware too.

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

Today we spent the morning doing the administrative stuff that is required by Ohio to be able to drive on the streets. First stop was the BMV for an out of state inspection. Then on to the Title Bureau for a title transfer. Stop three was at the Ohio E-Check which was my biggest concern, but it pass...

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

That's a good tip. We'll probably pull it apart first and if it works on one side, the other side is slow too.

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

So after watching the ad expire about a week ago, JUST after 32V told me he'd go in halvsies on the car with me, I started watching CL every day in hopes that the owner would repost the car by Labor Day weekend. Sure enough, on Friday, it popped back up. I've been getting the bug to go autocross and...

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

Here's the ad still up: https://flint.craigslist.org/cto/d/fenton-1997-pontiac-firebird-y87/6967785431.html But once it gets taken down, here's the text for my reference later: 1997 Firebird with somewhat rare Y87 performance RPO. This car is pretty fun for Autocross or just cruising the streets. I ...

Re: TRP 2019

Next Wednesday is allegedly going to be a high of 71 and sunny. That would be enough to get me to go out and finally get that elusive 11sec pass at 115. Here's to hoping...

Re: Chip off the old block

That's such a bad-ass picture! I doubt you finished that pass after the hard landing though? Hopefully a little weight will cure your wheelie woes. Too much power is cool!

GTO

Our old VP retired, and is selling off some stuff. Here's his GTO. If you know anyone actually looking for one of these, buy this one. It's literally a brand new car, and doesn't get driven hard. I've driven it, and it's awesome with only 14k miles. https://akroncanton.craigslist.org/cto/d/akron-200...

Re: Chevelle Upgrades, 2019

3.73's put you about 2400 at 70mph, and through the traps at 113 it's 5800. Might as well upgrade a little. That's why you have OD, muh man! Even 3.90's...

You could use an engine hoist if you didn't want to wait for anybody. You sticking with the same gears?

Re: TRP 2019

I'm out. Not for any particular reason... just not feeling it today. Don't want to change my tires on the truck, and I don't feel like racing the Golf. I'll probably just cut the grass and work in the basement.
