Re: Movie: Ford vs Ferrari

The kids, Rhonda and I saw it a couple weeks after it came out.

Agree it was a good show.

We watched it with an keen understanding and real life experience of racing in the rain at night!

Amazingly they did the 24 with just two drivers - did some fact checking on that.

Re: 89 Corvette Mostmint #39

Since last update: * removed the power window mechanisms and set up a method to install the windows for storage and driving around on cold days. The windows, mechanism and wiring was 37 lbs * acquired ALDL cable and software to tap into factory ECU. Install on my laptop and run some tests. Nothing o...

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

I am not sure the difference but my 95 Camaro was on that track a few times and never had this problem with spitting out p/s fluid. And no external cooler. It was a 3.4 and not as good a ratio in the steering rack which make it not quite apples to apples

Re: 13 Charger Mostmint # 40

Today I listened to the engine. It sounds like there are many ticks in there. My old Chevy experience tells me more than one lifter is slightly out of adjustment. So I did some more digging and I see many possible solutions: 1) premium gas 2) different oil / oil additives 3) exhaust manifold studs b...

Re: Chevelle Upgrades, 2019

That is it. It would be rework on the pulleys but might be worth it - can't recall power steering config but might not be worth reengineering that just add spacers where it bolts to the block and move everything out 1/8".

Re: Chevelle Upgrades, 2019

if you got a 1/8" shim the same shape as the water pump gasket you could use double gasket and move the entire assembly out 1/8". Would that help?

As memory serves the power steering is attached to the water pump.

Re: 13 Charger Mostmint # 40

Definitely not just when it's cold. I think its all the time. And just changed the oil I was wondering if fresh oil would help but no change

I heard about it in maybe mid-November for the first time, Could have been there before just not reported by her.

Re: 13 Charger Mostmint # 40

It is possible this is an exhaust leak - that is what the guy said. So I need to do some troubleshooting. Also I think I still have the old oil filter so I probably need to cut that apart as well. The bad news is the heads have to come off in order to change the lifters: https://www.youtube.com/watc...
