Re: iRacing broadcasts

Up next on Sunday 11/23 at 8:10 PM is rallycross at Sonoma with XSLR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3i45f7FV5a4

VIR last weekend ended up with 17 cars and a track that was wet, then dry, then really wet. My co-driver was in the wet at the end and wrecked the car twice which cost us some spots. We ...

Fix the seat cover - item # 8

This turned out to be an inexpensive fix. There are plenty of Silverados at pull a part. After a YouTube video on how to remove the cover, and about $7 I had a replacement. The seat back seems to wear well and the odd split of the airbag seam is not common on ...

Race report for XSLR @ Daytona Rallycross:

Qualified 3rd, lost that advantage in my heat race when netcode decided my car made contact and pushed me out of shape lap 1 turn 1. After that in the consolation race and the main I ended up with someone spun out directly in front of me on the first turn ...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

I've had trouble with the radiator overflow hose obstructing the passenger side headlight. from the factory there are several loops to hold it in place but if any have been removed the hose can shift.

Re: 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT - Mostmint #45

The replacement subframe was installed with the R/T swaybar. With this setup the weird suspension wiggle in the back was eliminated. Sadly I was not out of the woods with this project. I could not get the rear end to track correctly behind the front. One issue was the LR was at max adjustment on the ...

Re: iRacing broadcasts

At Lanier I had a legit shot at the podium until 3 to go and I pushed it too hard on corner exit. I saved the car but lost three positions.

Catching up:
Last Saturday 11/1 I did a 3 hr enduro At Daytona road course with Gt4 cars with ChampCar. I split drive duty with my friend Aaron: https://www ...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

the first thing I would do is find the ground wire connection and clean it. there is some notoriety with bad grounds on C4s

you can also turn it by hand to raise the light to make sure nothing in the mechanism is bound up

Sunday 10/26 8:10 PM gonna try again with the dirt big block modifieds at Lanier

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7zPLBogMM8

These things are a challenge to drive. With just under 900 hp, coming in over 2500 lbs, and with a rear axle that moves under power to turn, got to make the turn in early ...

Re: 1991 Jaguar XJ-S

Slight grade and roll in neutral if the engine idle is too high.

With the Lacrosse the inners of the hub (where the ABS sensor components are) were quite rusted and I'm pretty sure that was the cause of the noise there. The Jaguar ABS setup is probably completely different, but that was why I was ...

Nice and easy. This car has had a lot of meticulous detail work done so they should be able to enjoy it with minimal work.

Re: 1991 Jaguar XJ-S

Random questions on the brake noise:

Since the brake noise is when moving slowly, will it do it at walking speed? Just wondering if hearing it from the outside might help you isolate where its coming from.

Is it any different when you turn?

Are you certain this is not a wheel bearing issue ...

Airbag system – item #5

The airbag light was on, and the driver side seat was split open where the seat airbag is located. I didn’t see any damage on that side of the truck but assumed these were related. As it turns out the connection to the driver seat belt retractor was corroded, and as far as ...

Ok. My plan is if anyone has interest let you know and give them contact info. Messaging so far is make a reasonable offer.
