Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

Spent the afternoon in the 32V Garage using the new spot weld drill. It still takes some effort but the tool does make it possible to remove unwanted brackets if you can get at the spot welds. Capture.JPG Some came clean, others not so much. There will be some welding up of holes and damage. I have ...

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

After diner Sunday, I went out to the 32V Garage to see what it takes to remove unneeded brackets and continue the process of weight reduction. DSCF9394.JPG DSCF9395.JPG DSCF9396.JPG I invested an hour and a half to take those two brackets out. This was labor intensive, sparks and grinding dust fill...

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird Interior cleanup

Shortly after Saturday morning breakfast at Bob's with BP and 'Smoke, there was a fun busy couple of hours in the 32V Garage. The pictures show what's been done. 010 DSCF9385.JPG 020 DSCF9390.JPG 030 DSCF9389.JPG 040 DSCF9388.JPG 050 DSCF9393.JPG So much more to do. (Looking ahead to what this could...

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird Wheel stud replacement

We are replacing the wheel studs on the TrackBird so I thought I would go to Youtube and find someone who has done it.
This fellow was actually very helpful. Taught me a lot.

Pretty straight forward, check it out. Let me know if it helped you.

Re: 92 Saturn Mostmint #41

There was action in the 32V Garage Sunday, The MostMint one arrived and gave this little gem some love. Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

TrackBird came with only one set of keys. After I tried a few things looking on the internet, I just went to Junction, they have a secret box, ordered the correct keys and picked them up today. DSCF9308.JPG OK, I tried them and the car comes to life and the doors can be locked. (Deck lid is a differ...

Re: Nelson Ledges 11/2

I arrived a little late but was rewarded with another ride in the TrackBird when it was in action. Not sure about lap times, but my ride was very different and allot more aggressive then last time. Re: TRP 2019 11/01/19

Sorry, no pictures. I did go to TRP today. the 442 showed up and was first in line, My Jimmy was second, then we waited. It was about an hour before they were ready to run. I only counted four other cars, but there might have been more but not more than 10. Sunny and mid 40's, but very cold cross wi...

Re: TRP 2019

Great pictures, wish I was there.

I will have my jimmy out at TRP in the early AM this Saturday
If conditions are good (low 40s and dry).

After some runs I'll head out to Nelson Ledges for Track Day,
if the TrackBird is there.

Re: 1997 Pontiac Firebird

I did take the TrackBird for a small test ride out to Rick's Garage. There were no surprises, steered as normal and there are no spots on the 32v garage floor. These small mods are just the beginning of something. Not sure were this is going but I can't wait. DSCF9238.JPG DSCF9239.JPG DSCF9231.JPG F...

Re: Quickest Cars on Tiresmoke

I just updated my entry in the current ride list, don't think I'll catch the V-Caddy's numbers,
I do expect to improve on the Jimmy's statistics.

Fred32v - 2018 GMC Canyon 14.64 @ 94.21 2.21676 60' (1/8th 9.4556, 74.89 mph) - Street

Definitely a fun list.
