Lemon Pledge On Your Tires

I happened to get a detailing tip from a guy on an Oldsmobile forum. Some people don't like the look of shiny tires that you get from Armor-All or Tire Shine. This guy said that he used Lemon Pledge on his tires. I tried it this weekend. It works AWESOME! Very easy to control the spray so it doesn't...

My attempt to look like a Motor Trend magazine article from 1966:

Re: 2016 Regal Turbo

66,513.. changed the front brake pads. Since I had done all of the grunt work last week, the
job was simple. It took 25 mins to switch both sides. I did the job without taking the shoe holding
brackets off. The brake pedal is now back up to almost the top.

Somebody compiled the 1966 Oldsmobile commercials, pretty cool!

Re: 2016 Regal Turbo

Maverick,

Mechanic Paul made a point of saying that heating the motor was a Ford recommended procedure.
I'd definitely recommend it.

Re: 2016 Regal Turbo

66,160 -- Trans fluid was changed. Turns out there's no filter in there. The fluid was a bit brown, but not terrible. I changed spark plugs. The old plugs looked pretty good, but for $22, you just change them. Once I figured learned two things today. 1) You move the little red lock tab back and push...

Re: One Man Car Show

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd say that you were correct, but, I saw it on 422 the other day. The dude had to think that I was nuts, because I pulled to his left quarter panel and hung there while I took a million pics that I hoped would turn out. The pic you saw was an enlarged version, ...

Re: 2016 Regal Turbo

65,710 today. I changed the oil and cabin air filter ( for the first time ). I looked at a service maintenance chart and I'm late for a transmission fluid and filter change. I'll try to get that done in the next week or two. New spark plugs and windshield wipers are on their way. No major issues to ...

Re: 1966 OLDS 442

I've been wondering about the fuel "economy" of the 442. I don't seem to fill up that often, but I don't drive it long distances either. So last tank, I decided to check it out. The odometer was at 56,297 on Aug. 9th. I wanted to see how long I could go, with a goal being over 200 miles/ta...

Re: 1966 OLDS 442

It looks great, GM. The new wheels/tires change the entire character of your machine. However, it does take away that unique, "down to business" look of the dog dishes. Fred said the same thing!! I toyed with painting the black wheels the color of the car and turning the whitewalls in or ...

Re: 1966 OLDS 442

This post has been a while in the making. About two months or more ago, I happened to find a REALLY NICE & CLEAN set of 5 factory stock chrome SSi, 14"x7"'s wheels from early an 1970's Cutlass. These look identical to the 14"x6" wheels that would've been on the car in 1966, e...

Re: 215-75 R14's

These sold to a guy with a 1964 Chevy that wanted to go from Rally wheels to dog dish caps
& whitewalls. THE perfect guy for the set! He was super excited to get them!

215-75 R14's

I'm making a wheel and tire change on the 442. These are my steel wheels and
tires. They're really nice still. If anybody on Tiresmoke wants them, I'll make it a
better deal.
