We used to charge two flat rate hours per axle for pads & rotors. That would also include a caliper service (cleaning sliders). Two hours + $85 + parts = about $320 per axle depending on the car. Mechanics loved it because it'd take them about 35-40 min per axle....

It's supposed to be easier to push. All that old stuff was wore out. If I'd bet, that's how it actually felt when it was new. I've encountered the same thing when putting a clutch kit in my Mustang... It's only when you put high perf stuff that the clutch sometimes gets heavier. And some of these we...

Sunday October 9th?
Forecast is sunny with a high of 61 degrees. I'm not sure yet, but I'm thinking it might be a good day to race the Caddy.

I had studs on my first Mustang. It would throw sparks when I did donuts... and I've heard the studs blow out at speed, sounds like someone whacks your wheel well with a tack hammer. Not to mention on dry pavement, you pretty much loose all handling characteristics of the vehicle. But AWD with studs...
I bought it at Carlisle last time we went. The shroud that came on it said it was from a 3.8 GM car. It is a dual fan set up with one big and one little fan. The big fan has some small contraption hooked to it that I'm sure somehow is the device that makes it two speeds. I'm guessing it's from an Ol...

Yesterday I got the majority of the mounting done for the electric fans. With the grill removed I was able to fit the larger of the two fans up against the radiator and the smaller fan dropped in. Since I only have a cordless drill, the batteries died before I had a chance to finish drilling all my ...

Well, at this point, everyone knows the status of the Caddy. I think this Thursday, I'm going to try and get the electric fans installed, and eliminate the clutch fan. I am also pretty serious about taking some of the money from the sale of the Honda Passport (whenever I sell it) and buying the nece...
