Re: 1987 Corvette Z52
I made a stop at Fred's on Saturday to drop off the scales and found these guys fixin' on Paul's Dana 44, getting it ready to be swapped in the car.

Re: 1979 Malibu
Yeah, once I started putting them all together, it was pretty cool. Actually, all of them are just screen captures from the videos that Scott took.
I need to get some similar shots at Thompson and 42. I have a pretty well-traveled race car!

I'm a couple days late here, but that is sooo cool! It's a videogame car, I can't wait to see it in person.

Re: Software Update
I bought a Dell Optiplex 5050 on ebay with an Intel i7-7700 CPU (4 cores, 3.6GHz), 8GB RAM and no hard-drive/SSD for $125/shipped. I think it was new in 2017, and this board will support a whopping 64GB of RAM. This setup should offer a huge increase of performance while also using a lot less ...

Re: Software Update
It's migration time, again. If you follow technology news at all, Broadcom bought VMWare a year or so back and made a publicly stated goal of locking in their 500 biggest clients, and screwing everyone else with HUGE license increases. Basically designed to make smaller customers go away. Even ...

Welcome to Tiresmoke! That pinion angle was a mess, yikes. Looks like a solid truck, though. This is gonna be your daily?

Re: Out of commission
Things have progressed very well, to be honest. It's been 77 days since surgery and I'm mostly back to normal. I still have some occasional discomfort in my feet and legs, but its pretty mild. Ibuprofen and Tylenol take care of it. I'm not limiting myself from really doing anything at this point. I ...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51
I got the headlight actuator relay and installed it. With the hood up, both lights work as expected, yay! But when I closed the hood, now the passenger side is hitting something and not able to fully open. Hopefully just an easy adjustment, but it seems odd.
Next up are the header gaskets ...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51
I finished the passenger side headlight today and got it back in the car. It works good now. I have the headlight actuator on order from ebay. I was hoping it would be here this weekend. Once that is in, the headlights should be 100%.

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51
A little progress tonight. I applied 12v directly to the headlight motor, and it works. And it moves exactly like it should.
So I guess there is a headlight actuator relay thing mounted right in front of the left front wheel. It sends the power to both sides individually. Might have to replace ...
