Re: 2008 Cobalt SS

Boy, I dont write much about this car despite how much I still love it 10 years and 127k miles later. Getting close to that original 150k goal! If I don't need to haul big stuff or 2+people, it's still my vehicle of choice. It just does everything well and is easily the best car I've ever owned. It ...

Welcome to the board, Don!

Very cool truck, great build! I think that one pic is the first time I've ever seen an S-truck with a 5th wheel trailer!!

Re: TRP 2019

Yeah, getting it there is going to be the problem. Gwen is going out with her mom that day, I'm not sure Tony can drive a stick (and if he goes, probably wants to take his own car, understandably) my dad is in Florida.. not sure who else I can recruit that wouldnt mind spending part of the day at th...

Re: TRP 2019

I believe TRP is planning to have a Test-n-Tune on Sat Oct 26th. I'm planning on taking the Chevelle to try out my new 3.73s! I'm trying to figure out how to get the '90 Vette out there at the same time to run them side-by-side.

Re: Tiresmoke Central, construction begins!

The original designed capacity has now been exceeded! And just as I got them all inside, it started raining. Some re-shuffling will occur before snow flies, but it took a little bit of work to get here. This is what happens when you're good at buying stuff, but not selling stuff.

Re: Chevelle Upgrades, 2019

Well, the new posi/gears/suspension/shocks are done! I used Jerry's drive on lift, with exclusive tire-iron safeties, to put the final torque on the control arms. I've driven it several times now for to break it in (several heat cycles). Next time I drive it, I'll probably let 'er rip! 20190929_1145...

Re: Chevelle Upgrades, 2019

Well, after a month of letting this project languish, I finally got it all back together and took it for the first test drive today! Everything seems good, all of the squeaking/groaning my suspension used to make is gone. I can barely tell the difference from the 3.55s. I suppose it'll more noticeab...

Re: TRP 2019

I didn't make it. Corvette wouldnt idle when I went to leave this morning, so I bailed on it and took the Cobalt. I'm also training a new guy this week, so no opportunity to leave early.

Booo.. but @ 6:55pm in Chesterland -- rain drops are falling.
