Re: Possibly My Favorite Car Review Video - C6

What's not to love, John? Best factory option out there :D That guy actually has another video where he details purchasing a C5 for 9K. There's an additional video where he goes over the minor problems he runs into. Very informative stuff. To my pleasant surprise, there's a lot of how to buy a C5 an...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

The wheel and possibly the suspension are easy enough fixes. The problem with all of the body parts/panels/etc. will be paint. Even the same factory color will have a different patina and luster after 30 years. Odds of everything matching are almost zero. That said, sometimes insurance companies wil...

Re: TRP 2019

Very fun evening, indeed. Glad I decided not to work.....at least for now. Can't wait to see Paul's truck in the late October or early November air. Strange evening in that I went about a tenth slower each round.....as the temps were dropping. Had this strange dream I cut an "oh something"...

Re: TRP 2019

Sadly, I have a client who wanted to have a 2:00 meeting this afternoon....which will likely run for several hours.

So, unfortunately, I'm out of the contest tonight. :(

Re: TRP 2019

That's a great picture! You can't even tell Dave is missing an Appendix. :D

Let me know if you'll be running trucks next Wednesday. I may be able to join you.

Re: TRP 2019

Your math is CPA approved!!

I have to wrap up an estate this week.....so I'm out, unfortunately. If I'm lucky, I/we may be fishing this weekend, though. :)

Re: Fred32v's Little Jimmy

Hey Fred: When you installed the mud flaps/guards, where you able to use the existing factory holes/screw bosses? Also, what brand did you go with? GMC or something after market? My street in Avon is torn up now for repaving and I really need to cut down on the white concrete dust on my shiny blue t...

Re: Dragway 42 2019

42 is definitely nicer than TRP.....and doesn't serve burgers that make you run for the....."office".

But for us Geauga County types, it's hard to beat TRP. So many good memories over the years (or should I say DECADES) with more to come.

Re: TRP 2019

Do you happen to have the Density Altitude numbers for last night at TRP and your previous outing? If so, I'd try to run those numbers through the conversion factor and try to get an apples to apples comparison....taking the weather out of the equation. It was REALLY humid and muggy last night. Had ...

Re: Fred32v's Little Jimmy

Don't laugh....but I'm gonna have to check out your mud guards and will probably get something similar. If the K&N improves mileage, I almost have to find one. I've picked up a flat black exhaust tip but haven't installed it yet. By dinner time on Sunday, you'll clearly be the quicker truck. :D

Re: TRP 2019

I sense some great heads up action this Summer at TRP. :D The Canyon and the Colorado are great sized trucks, IMHO. I can get over 25 MPG on the freeway when going easy on the truck, tow 7,000 pounds, fit five comfortably....and apparently run 14s. Times sure have changed since high school.....kind ...
