Great web site. That open house is Saturday May 30th, I'm planning to be there.
Maybe Tiresmokers could have a breakfast in Chardon and then onto Hutters.

I was just going to see and tour their facility. Never been there.
I'm not sure if there will be demonstrations or if the dyno will be working.
Wonder what the rear wheel HP is on my car.

Maybe you should ask Trevor about computer tuning the STS-V...

Since GMJohnny is working, he gave me a list of questions that I'll take with me.

Once the tuning gets done on the vette, Fred32v will be in the shop for sure, cause being slower than the vette will hurt!!! I told him to get the info while he was there also, but he will need more inspiration than that to get the work done. Remember what happened to the Eldorado when the GS was purchased......All that being said, if they say its $800.00 to get the tuning done, I will be happy to look at Fred's tail lights, because that will be too steep for this year's budget.

After breakfast at the 'Leaf with Fast87, we met Tiresmoke as we were leaving for the Hutter Open House. Tiresmoke joined us. The Open House was very impressive. Many motors presented in a tour of the motor shop. There was an '80's Malibu on the car dino that was a serious effort. Many cars and many people. They were still coming in as I was leaving. If you didn't make it you missed out on a little fun.
Since GMJohnny was working, here was a list of questions he wanted asked and I recorded Hutter's (Trevor's) answers.

Trevor says…….. Hutter Automotive “Open House”

From John Cossick

Hey .... if you are going to the Hutter racing thing on Saturday, here's a list of things I'd like to ask them, if you can ask for me.

1998 Corvette Roadster automatic

1) Does "X" pipe out-perform stock "H" pipe, and is it really worth the effort to change?
Trevor says a quality “X” pipe helps.

2) Is there any advantage to switching to an ls-6 intake manifold, or will the stock ls-1 intake work ok?
Trevor says the ls-6 intake manifold will help.

3) If I have them program the computer to their specs, how much et, or horsepower can I expect? My stock et was 13.62 @ 103.5. Since then I have done z06 air box w/work, larger maf sensor and z06 exhaust. Is a 12 second quarter a reality without going into the motor?
Trevor says his tune will put your car in the 12’s.

4) Torque management is supposed to really slow the car down, removing it is supposed to have potential negative side affects on longevity of trans and rest of driveline. What is his opinion of this? ( I don't want to put a gearbox in this car)
He understands the torque management balance.

5) How much $ to do how much work? In other words, can he get it into the 12's for how much with just tuning?
The initial dyno & tune is $550 plus tax, after that it’s only time.

Trevor says the ls-6 cam really opens things up. (I think ls-6)

If there are any questions you have while there, call me on my cell phone please.

Keep me posted,

GMJohnny

ps ---- you ought to find out how much it will cost to keep the Cadillac in front of me while you are there!!

If you can, find out what software they are using when they tune it.
