Saturday, November 1st is Thompson's last race of the season. I plan to be there with the Caddy. Gates open at 9am. Be there or be square...

I had originally typed that I would be showing up with something blue, but deleted that.

I'm gonna try to get the Chevelle race-ready. To run the bike, I'd probably have to bring it in the truck. It's cold!

Looks like I won't be making it afterall -- just found out I have to go to a funeral Saturday for my grandpa's sister.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa's sister.

The forecast according to TWC has turned back to 58 and partly cloudy. I'm up for breakfast before racing if anyone is interested.

I'm taking the Cadillac, and am excited about it.

Looks like I'm in. A little prep - maybe toss in the slicks - not sure yet.

Breakfast - where and when?
May I suggest something on the way - Thompson Square or perhaps the I90 and SR44 area?

Dave, sorry to hear about your loss.

I think that the Waffle House at 90 & 44 around 9ish would be good. Let me know if you're in and I'll meet you there.

Anyone else want in?

It was a great day for racing -- maybe even perfect. Lots in attendance -- myself, BP, markss327, VeeDub, TheRookie, Racin'Jacin' with many new personal-bests.

I ended up going out, on the scooter.

12.76 @ 102.17
12.76 @ 101.96
12.58 @ 102.63
12.68 @ 102.56
12.57 @ 102.64
12.51 @ 102.87
12.49 @ 102.87

Previous best was 12.89 @ 99. Only mod since then was cutting the baffle out of the muffler ('mufflerectomy'). Sadly, only 2 of those runs had a green light. Ouch.

Great day, perfect weather, perfect traction.

Did I just see my Formula get very close to the 13's? Oops I almost forgot.
It's Matt's Formula now.

And Paul's Caddy is now there too?

What a day! I wish I could have been there.

Yeah, it was a great day. Here's the bests as I remember them:

BP - 13.81 @ 99.5mph
Rookie- 14.15 @ 96mph (he did this twice)
Tiresmoker- 12.49!!
RacinJacin- 9.66 @ 137mph
MarkSS327- 13.26 @ 100mph (on little tiny street tires- no slicks)
VeeDub- 16.84 (GTI)

I'll post pictures & stuff later.
