Live, from the garage

Post by TireSmoker »

Tiresmoke.org has finally made it directly to the garage. Through the wonders of wireless internet and more old computers than I know what to do with, there is now a permanent internet presence in the garage. I've done it with the laptop too, but the keyboard on that is lousy and this is more permanent. Keyboard and mouse can store on top of PC when not in use.

How about a live web cam so we can see what's going on in your garage at all times?

Now all you need is a server so you can host it from there

I think all hosting should be done from "The Basement"...

Still Waiting

It would sure be fun to see Tiresmoke in his garage with his webcam.
How hard is it really to get one of those working?
I have a working camara but don't know how to get it onto the internet.

It's not hard.. it's finding a good program for web-casting with, and then doing the appproiate router configuration. Most software is setup for person-to-person communication. I've tried one in the past called U-Broadcast with some success, but it's not real reliable.
