The 1980 champagne edition TR8 from GA ended up having the inner fenders, rockers and such filled with "great stuff" foam and was sanded down and painted over. So Dad decided to scrap the car.

There were 3 TR's in the beginning.

1. A black TR7 that was being transplanted with a Buick 215, it sat in Dad's garage for some years. It's problem was it needed a bunch of body work. This car was stripped of good parts that were needed, parts sold off and the rest scrapped.

2. A green TR7, this car was RUST FREE and stored at my brother's. It was going to be the body donor for the black car. That was until an original TR8 was purchased. The green car was stripped to the body and TR7 parts sold off.

3. An original champagne TR8 (one of roughly 2800, Wikipedia), It was stripped, the body scrapped (soon to be)and parts implanted into the green TR7.

The car runs and should be moving under it's own power sometime July 2013. Then for the interior and touch up. Hopefully on the road in a couple months.
