OK Guys I gotta admit I get a certain joy out of being a cheap bastage at times - usually when it involves using your noggin' to save a buck or two and entertaining yourself at the same time....yeah this post ISN'T about that
Having run brake lines for years and years - I will admit I have ALWAYS struggle to get a solid consistent double flare in steel line. Yeah my buddy Stan laughs at me as he swears by EZ bend. Which I suppose I could try, but it just erks me that I can't use the normal (cheap) stuff with any consistency...UNTIL NOW!!!!!
YEP!, I pulled out ALL the stops and splurged and bought one of those hydraulic flaring tools AND don't regret spending the money for a second!! I bought the Mastercool flaring tool with the hydraulic ram and it is sweet sweet SCHWEET!!
Guys if anyone's on the fence for buying one of these - my only regret is that I didn't buy one earlier!!!!!!
Christmas is coming...do yourself a favor and buy yourself a present that will keep on giving!!!
YMMV

I did my wife's Christmas shopping for me:
Solid rubber tires for the pressure washer. NO MORE FLATS!!

Small hand truck for my booster battery.
http://www.harborfreight.com/150-lb-cap ... 61867.html
50' air hose reel. Got it for $58 rather than $90 as a substitute for the one I ordered.

BP, Yep that's the one. It ain't cheap, but quality rarely is.
I paid less for my first 1911 Colt, but that was a LONG time ago!

I "rented" a set similar to this from a tech at Classic VW to do brake lines on a Caddy I bought. It's the sh*t for sure. Makes life real easy, and NO leaks at all. Definitely worth the cheddar.
