It would be fun to see that rig up north this summer for a little TRP action. Grins! :)

No doubt! Though not sure about 1000 miles for a 1/4 mike. And that gas bill ;)

Got my truck back Friday night and it’s dialed in perfect! Power is super linear and easy to control @ 592 rwhp and estimated 650 ftlbs (dyno was being quirky on torque readings). Upgraded spec 2 clutch is an improvement too for easy shifting over stock. Upgraded the brakes to match the power. It’s super streetable other than needed some new tires. Had fun with a brand new Vette on the way back from the shop - he didn’t expect that at all! I’m also happy I spent a little extra for meth kit just to be safe on stock motor. Next project may be to installed a newer radio. Possibly find some 20” wheels to sport some drag radials.

The truck is sporting a new set of tires and quite happy with them - Toyo Proxes ST3 with silica compound. Nice and sticky with no road noise. Also replaced the stereo system with a Pioneer head unit with CarPlay and JL Audio speakers and amp. It sounds amazing and ready to road trip to Carlisle. And finally, i installed a cool Peragon tonneau but have to trim a little off the rails to get the wing back on. I’ve put a few hundred miles on the truck since the big upgrade and it’s still perfect. I swear I’m done for a while...

Doesn't sound like there's much left to do. Seems as right as it can be. Cool truck!

Holy crapola! I just won a contest on a Vioer forum. Full performance top end of motor. Heads, cam, roller rockers, lifters, pushrods and some shiny billet valve covers. Perfect swap for my stock setup. Though probably need to save up to do a forged bottom end at the same time. The supercharger can run 12 psi but often tweaked to 15. I’ve never won a contest so still in shock.

Trying to figure out best path forward with my Viper guy. Essentially, I'm at the safe limit of my motor for existing power. So while it may not be a lot to add this setup, I'd be rolling the dice on the bottom end. To upgrade the bottom end is roughly $10-12K. Of course then I could have the top end and bottom end and up the boost to 12-15psi from 6psi. Current thought it maybe to sell it and so some non-power upgrades for traction. Pocket the rest towards a paint job on the GTO :)

That's not a bad idea at all. It's already too much power for the tires, adding more isn't going to help much unless you turn it into a drag car.

Well, was made an offer I can't refuse and I'm gonna "Do the Deal'!!" I'm trading in that package I won (those heads are very hard to come by) to the owner of the performance shop I work with for a credit towards a forged bottom end and cam build (covering about 40% of my cost). It's like a woman buying an expensive purse she doesn't need but pointing out how much she's saving because it's on sale. :D

Also going to switch over from TB meth injection to direct port and . I expect to hit 700+ rwhp and effectively have a RAM SRT-10 'Demon' w/ no concerns about reliability. Plenty of guys running twin turbos with a lot more boost on the same setup. I'll have only two weeks down time (swapping cores) and expecting mid summer completion. He's also going to let me keep those purdy billet valve covers. 12+ PSI and 11s, here I come!! So much for "being done for now"

For those wondering "hey Matt, don't you need those heads?", the answer is no. If I was running TT, then yes, they would make a difference. But they might get me 15hp over stock heads at this boost level. I am NOT going to go TT on this truck. Just not really manageable and lots of stuff can start breaking. Down the road, 100-200 shot of NOS is very viable but doubtful I'll want that insanity - unless Paul upgrades his truck and I need to be faster ;)

No rest for the wicked.... although I think you'll be off the hook for at least the rest of this year.

Been busy with marriage and moving. But managed to drop off the truck a couple week ago. Expecting it back in September. Goal is 800 rwhp. Also plan on a custom plate. D3M0N1K, VYPRV10, SRT10SC, 6SPDV10 are some options. Only 7 characters in my state.

2004 SRT (like your 1969 GTO), SRT DIME, 04 SRT10, VIPR TRK,

Now I need to get to work on my truck again. Sounds like you'll be faster than me now...

I’m now contemplating the license plate DRTHVPR, because the dark side of this black truck will have a lot of power. Hoping motor is back from shop soon. I’m jonesing for some supercharged fun, albeit a few more PSI.

It's black enough for it. That would be a good one. More psi is always good. Hopefully my mods will help me keep up with that monster.
