It was time to move on. I traded the big red truck and the STS-V today.
My new ride is a 2014 Silverado Regular Cab Shortbed. It sure has a ton of
goodies. It's a 5.3 liter with 355 hp at 5600 rpms linked to a 3.42 rearend.
It has the Z71 option and weights 4700 lbs.

Picture was provided by BP,who drove the red truck while I took the STS-V.
This truck was at Huebner Chevy in Carrollton, OH. (80 miles).

More on this later. Looking forward to TRP.

This truck is sweet! It looks cool with the black, the 20's, and all the chrome. It has just about everything you can get on a regular cab, plus the Z71 suspension makes it feel pretty sporty and more firm than the red truck was. I also dig the dark interior. All in all, it's a great piece and with the 3.42's (the optional rear gear) and the 6spd auto, it moves pretty well too. I'm guessing bone stock, close to 15 flat.

I really liked the Red Truck....but this one is nine years newer....and looks pretty darn cool.

Got to love the smell of a Silver-RAY-Do in the morning! :D

There is no denying that I will be missing the "V",
but also, I'm really excited about my new "Z".

Funny, even with 4 wheel drive, I find myself looking forward to summer with this big Z!

I've made a couple of additions and one removal.

Before.................................After

ImageImage

There are three things to notice in the After picture.
I've added Weather Tech Mud Flaps and a Trux tonneau cover.
Also, I removed the Harley - Davidson from the rear quarters.

So now I have 4 A's, 4 D's, 2 E's, 2 H's, 2 I's, 2 L's, 2 N's, 2 O's, 2 R's, 2 S's, 2 V's and 2 Y's.

So what could I put on my tailgate? "El Roady", "Old Savy Dad", "El Dorado", "Also Ran",
"HiLo", "Radial", "Rainy Day", "Hard Load", "Sad Dad" or .........??????????

Ok, maybe nothing, but something might strike my fancy. Grins.

Looks good. Keep your extra letters around in case the car wash grabs ahold of one of those.
