Coats 40-50 Tire Changer

Post by Basement Paul »

Here's a couple shots of the tire changer I bought in Carlisle and how I got it out of my truck myself. 32v and I tested it the other day and it seems to work well. We opened up the front panel and found a broken accumlator that trips the valve that allows me to fill the tire and activate the tire pressure gauge. 32v printed out a parts breakdown from the internet and I'm going to try to order those parts this week. Once I have them installed, I'll give it a good cleaning.

I learned after pulling the covers off that this is a 1995 machine. Definitely newer than I thought it was. It seems that these cost about $3200 new. I'd say for $325, I got a pretty good deal.

Yesterday I bought a Coats bubble balancer. More on that later.
