2016 Pinehurst Concours d'Elegance

Post by wxo »

Maverick and I took the Lincoln on a rode trip to Pinehurst NC to attend our first Concours d'Elegance. And there was plenty of elegance to be seen. Rubbing elbows with this crowd, I'm not sure we will be able to attend Carlisle anymore.
Here are some shots of the day:

Could we still bring our own grill? Looks like some nice stuff there.

Beautiful machines. We didn't see anything like that in the Carlisle Car corral.

Good stuff!! The Lincoln would never have been allowed in that show but we got a big "thumbs up" from a couple in a Ferrari!!

This '57 Chevy convert is IDENTICAL, incl 2 fours, to one a friend bought new in '57.

Also enjoyed some exceptional Packards and Auburns.

This elegant old iron made some, like the Porsches and Ferraris, look a bit mundane in comparison. Amazing coachwork and restorations!

We would definitely welcome your grill, BP. My $7 bare "blackened" chicken sandwich was no match for one of your delicious dogs or burgers. :D
