Carlisle 2014 - scavenger hunt

Post by ttamrettus »

Here is a crazy idea. I was actually looking through a Hot Rod magazine and saw the title of an article, "Scavenger Hunt", about key chains and this idea popped in my head. Especially since we don't usually go looking for much in particular.

I was thinking we could generate a list of items that we would find at the meet. We could document that it was actually for sale, the price and the "spot" it was located in. We don't need to actually buy it. It could be anything, but this digital verification would allow the price to be whatever. If we had to actually buy items, they would have to be small & cheap.
I was thinking everyone could put in $10 or $20 bucks and 4? items. Whoever has the most items wins, in the event of a tie whoever spent the least "money" on the items wins.

What do you think?

For example.
1. original set of 1987 Grand National Rims & center caps
2. a pinto (any vintage)
3. an Esso 1 quart oil can
4. a GM key fob

Good call!! I'd flip in some bucks to make a game of it....
Since it's rare for me to "need" anything, it'd be fun to have
something to search for.
