Shades of Carlisle and the 100 lb Ford truck intake

Post by wxo »

From September 2016 Hot Rod Magazine, Page58....
Also backing the Hemi is a mid-1960s A-833 four-speed, a major score from the far back section of the Carlisle swap meet. "I found the second-gen Hemi trans up on a hill in the back area of Carlisle " O'Brian says. "I paid some little kid with a wagon five bucks to pull that heavy bastard 4 miles to my car. He was 8 years old and swearing like a sailor."

I read that too and thought similar thoughts about wheel sets and broken wagons. Good times!

No matter how heavy or how much effort it took to get your prize
to the truck, it was ALWAYS so worth it.
